Noize MC (Ivan Alekseev / Ivan Alexeyev) is a Russian rapper, rock musician, singer, songwriter, and actor. He was born on March 9, 1985, in Yartsevo, Smolensk Oblast, RSFSR. The musician is renowned for his steadfast, outspoken civic stance, having consistently voiced opposition against the Putin regime and composed numerous social and political protest tracks.

Noize MC’s Position on the War in Ukraine
Noize MC's Position on Ukraine Prior to 2022
On August 14, 2014, Noize MC performed at the "Zakhid" festival near Lviv with a Ukrainian flag tied around his waist as an expression of friendship and solidarity between the two peoples.
At the Russian festival Kubana-2014, the musician suggested from the stage to talk openly about Ukraine and the events of 2014:
Well, so is there Ukrainian Nazism there? And those of you who haven't been there, what do you think? Well, let me tell you — I was there — there is no Nazism there whatsoever. There are people who grew tired of enduring all that injustice, and there is a president who embezzled so much that it is impossible to even calculate.
Support for Ukraine Following the Full-Scale Invasion
From the very onset of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Noize MC unambiguously declared his support for Ukraine and fiercely condemned Russia's military aggression. On February 24, 2022, the musician published a powerful anti-war post on his Instagram account:

Shortly thereafter, he fled the territory of the Russian Federation, relocating with his family to Lithuania.
Anti-War Art and Music
The musician began actively wielding his art to dismantle Kremlin propaganda. He released a succession of pointed anti-war songs, notably the track «Ausweis» (confronting the collective responsibility and guilt of Russian society) and «Kooperativ \"Lebedinoye Ozero\"» (Swan Lake Cooperative), which explicitly condemn Putin's dictatorial regime and military aggression.
He also produced and released a music video for the Ukrainian-language song «Voodoo» («Вуду»), dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian war.
Charity Tours
In the spring of 2022, alongside Russian indie singer Monetochka, he launched a massive European charity concert tour titled «Voices of Peace». All proceeds from ticket sales were channeled directly to a Polish charitable foundation providing humanitarian aid to Ukrainian refugees.
Through this charitable project, the artists succeeded in raising hundreds of thousands of euros for medical and humanitarian relief for Ukrainians. During his performances, Ivan frequently sings songs in Ukrainian, recites poetry by prominent Ukrainian authors, and regularly displays visual screens detailing the destruction of Ukrainian cities by Russian strikes.
Noize MC's Statements on the War in Ukraine
When missiles were flying out of Belgorod, I knew they would eventually return. Today, unfortunately, that happened. My beloved hometown came under fire. What do I feel about this? Exactly what I felt when Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Mariupol were being shelled, when I read the horrors coming out of Irpin and Bucha. War is revolting. It is horrific. It has an inhuman face. And it must be ended. Hell, it should have ended before it even started.
During the performance of the next song, make sure to make a wish. Just don't tell anyone what it is, otherwise he won't die« (a sardonic concert joke wishing for Putin's death).
I want so desperately, Lord, for them to just leave them alone at last and let them develop in peace. They are such incredible people and such an amazing country. It's totally f***ed up« (speaking about Ukraine).
A victory for dictatorship means a catastrophic slide back into barbarism and degradation. Yet globally, both human society and individuals are wired for forward progress. I believe that they [the Russian authorities] cannot prevail over any truly sustained timeframe, because that is fundamentally contrary to human nature. Yes, the current reality is grim, but I am very far from throwing in the towel. Truthfully, I still feel energized and inspired.
Nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize
In December 2024, it was reported that a group of university professors in Norway had officially nominated Monetochka and Noize MC for the Nobel Peace Prize.
The Nobel Peace Prize is conferred upon "the person who has done the most or best to advance fellowship among nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and the establishment and promotion of peace congresses."
Persecution in Russia
On November 22, 2022, the Russian Ministry of Justice designated Noize MC a "foreign agent". The official pretext cited "conducting political activity," with Ukraine specified as the "foreign funding source."
In September 2026, Russian law enforcement opened a criminal case against Ivan Alekseev on charges of «justification of terrorism», carrying a potential sentence of up to seven years' imprisonment. According to the state investigators, during his international concerts, the musician made public statements that supposedly «justified terrorist ideology» and expressed a «positive attitude» toward an organization banned and designated as terrorist by Russian authorities.
В прошлом году был на двух концертах и не перестаю восхищаться Иваном, а так же Кислым который с самого истока группы продолжает гнуть с Ваней свою линию!
Моя музыка всегда со мной 🫶 Дякую, Noize MC
