Recrent (Dmitry Osintsev) is a Russian streamer, esports athlete, and video blogger, one of the most popular content creators in the Russian-speaking segment of Twitch. He gained wide prominence thanks to competitive play in PUBG and victories in Call of Duty: Warzone tournaments. From 2018 to 2019, he played for the Ukrainian organization NAVI, and later became its public face as a content creator. He was born on June 26, 1997, in Saint Petersburg.

Monetizes content (via streams, ads, subscriptions, merchandise sales, or music platforms) and, in accordance with applicable laws, pays taxes to the budget of the Russian Federation.

Any engagement with this content — views, likes, donations, merchandise purchases, or streams — indirectly contributes to financing the Russian economy and, consequently, the war against Ukraine.

First statements following the start of the invasion

In the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Recrent admitted on his Telegram channel that he did not understand politics and wished for everything to be resolved sooner:

The blogger chose not to make loud public statements sharply condemning or supporting the actions of either side, seeking to keep his content strictly within gaming topics.

Departure from NAVI

The streamer's collaboration with the Ukrainian club NAVI (Natus Vincere) came to an end. In April 2022, it was officially announced that the contract between NAVI and Recrent was not renewed by mutual agreement of the parties.

Dmitry remained working in the Russian media space, becoming an official ambassador for the Russian betting company PARI.

Reaction to the topic of war during livestreams

On his broadcasts and social media, the streamer avoids discussing topics related to the war in Ukraine, focusing on shooter game reviews, participation in gaming events, and engaging with the community on neutral topics. For example, during one Call of Duty: Warzone stream, when another player in the voice chat shouted "Slava Ukraini!", Recrent dodged answering with an ironic remark: "I wanted to reply to him, but my voice chat is bound to Z, just so you know."

Merch store delivering to occupied territories

On Recrent's official website, checkout utilizes delivery via "Russian Post" and CDEK. These services allow choosing occupied territories of Ukraine for delivery, displaying them as part of Russia (for example, Luhansk, Mariupol). This demonstrates that the store uses a Russian address database that includes territories Russia considers its own. Such settings may stem from the platform or delivery service used. However, in most e-commerce systems, the store owner or their team have the ability to restrict delivery geography and exclude specific regions.

Recrent's media resources are entered into the official Roskomnadzor (RKN) registry, confirming compliance with the requirements of Russian legislation regarding the oversight of bloggers.
