Sergey Svetlakov is a Russian comedy actor, screenwriter, television producer, and television host. He was formerly a member of the popular KVN comedy team «Uralskiye Pelmeni», a central star of the satirical sketch show «Nasha Russia», and a co-host of the television program «ProjectorParisHilton» (alongside Ivan Urgant and Alexander Tsekalo). He was born on December 12, 1977, in Sverdlovsk (now Yekaterinburg). Citizenship: Russia.

In 2018, Sergey publicly stated that he did not vote for Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections, and in 2021 he spoke out against Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko.
Prior to the full-scale Russian invasion, the showman owned restaurant businesses in Kyiv, including the popular Eshak restaurant chain, and was a frequent visitor to Ukraine.
Sergey Svetlakov’s Position on the War in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Svetlakov posted a black square on his Instagram captioned "No words, or simply too many of them", followed on February 28 by a post stating: "I sincerely hope that negotiations will take place in the near future and everything will be resolved peacefully. May this nightmare come to an end."
Subsequently, Sergey took a brief creative hiatus connected to the shock of the invasion. However, by mid-2022, Sergey resumed full-scale commercial entertainment operations inside Russia — directing television series, starring in the comedy projects "League of Cities" and "Battle of Covers", producing his own TV franchise "Svetlakov +", and more. Furthermore, he renewed an exclusive long-term contract with the state-controlled conglomerate Gazprom-Media, where the managing director is hardcore Kremlin propagandist Tina Kandelaki.
