• Under one of the posts on his Instagram account, Leva responded to pro-Kremlin followers:

You are murderers. You have wiped out all your achievements. And those achievements were shared with Ukraine and Europe. Everything that Putin's Russia evokes right now is only disgust and revulsion. I will not return to Russia. I am not going to take back a single word. Putin and all his mentally deficient riffraff have destroyed our country. Go read your obscurantist lectures at the military enlistment office

• In June 2022, they released an anti-war music video titled "Kolybelnaya" ("Lullaby") with the lyrics:

• On 25 January 2024, the band's musicians were detained in Thailand for performing without work permits. Previously, concerts by Ruslan Bely and Maxim Galkin, who had also condemned Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, were canceled in Thailand. Fortunately, after a week in detention, the entire band was able to fly safely to Israel, despite pressure from the Russian Foreign Ministry attempting to extradite the musicians back to Russia.

• On 26 March 2024, Leva gave an interview to Mikhail Kozyrev, detailing their arrest in Thailand, the cancellation of concerts in Russia, proposals from the presidential administration to perform in Donbas, and more.

Support for Ukraine

In January 2025, a video surfaced online where the leader of Bi-2 admitted to pranksters "Lexus and Vovan" that he provides financial aid to Ukraine and its defenders:

I bought two ambulances and one large bus. Almost every month I send five thousand euros. We have a foundation I collaborate with... Since the start of the war, this sum has already exceeded well over 100,000 euros... Considering that I don't live lavishly... I finance humanitarian aid. If I had huge money, I would have purchased a batch of HIMARS... I'm tearing this practically from my own heart, because over the past two years especially we haven't been earning, yet all this time I consistently helped Ukraine...

In December 2025, Leva posted a post on Instagram calling on followers to financially assist residents of the Ukrainian city of Kamianske who suffered from shelling, as well as internally displaced persons. In the comments of the post, he noted:

Friends, I spoke publicly about my (Asya's and my) assistance to Ukraine on air to set an example. But that doesn't mean that's ALL of it. It's just that what Asya and I do, and will continue to do, will from now on remain behind the scenes. I don't want to capitalize on grief or build a career on war... I simply sing. But FASCISM must be fought.

What celebrities say about Bi-2's stance

Bi-2? Oh please, they've always been crafty opportunists, to be honest. I know them well, they've always been slippery characters. It's just, well, they pretended to be heroes, but in reality they're just ordinary losers. That's how society raised them, artists who won't lift a finger unless they get paid. That's what society spawned. There were decent artists before this, frontline veterans. Like Nikulin, who served at the front. They were real, decent men. Who, unfortunately, didn't live to see these days. Now, it's not that all artists are scoundrels. It's just that this kind of artist has been nurtured by society since the 1990s. In general, you don't have to be an artist, but you are obliged to be a human being. Anyway, I'm going to sing!

These days, whether you like it or not, a choice will have to be made. And any actions like attempting to cover up a banner and especially trying to explain afterwards what happened, it all comes out into the open. I would like the situation to be resolved in such a way that the band officially states what happened. Without dodging, without trying to sit on two chairs at once. That is the most important thing for me, because if they hold a certain stance — that's their prerogative. But in that case, voice it properly, don't wag your tail
