Geegun (real name Denis Aleksandrovich Ustimenko-Vainshtein) is a Russian rapper of Ukrainian origin. Born on August 2, 1985, in Odesa, Ukrainian SSR. Holds Russian citizenship.
Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian sanctions
In May 2021, he was added to the Myrotvorets database for conscious violation of the state border of Ukraine in order to enter occupied Crimea, participation in anti-Ukrainian propaganda events, disseminating Kremlin propaganda in the form of the so-called «Russian world», etc.
On January 6, 2023, Geegun was added to Ukraine's sanctions list, which entails the freezing of assets within the country, termination of economic and financial obligations, cessation of cultural exchanges and cooperation, and revocation of Ukrainian state awards.
Absence of a public stance
Following the outbreak of the full-scale war, Geegun did not publicly support Ukraine nor condemn the Russian invasion. For most of the time, he resided in Dubai and avoided making public statements about the war.
Reaction to mobilization
He mocked Russians fleeing mobilization by posting the following on Instagram:
Geegun himself is the father of four minor children, and therefore is not subject to mobilization.
Voting for Vladimir Putin
On March 17, 2024, Geegun demonstrated his political stance publicly for the first time. He published Instagram Stories from a polling station arranged for Russian presidential voting in Dubai, where he announced that he voted for Putin and showed off his Russian citizen passport:

Geegun called me. And I told him: «Your home city is being shelled, yet you say nothing, and that looks... well, I told him that it looks ugly.» And he says: «Well, I'm arriving in Israel now, getting citizenship there.» I say: «When you're in Israel, it will be safe for you to do something, to show some kind of stance.» Well, and that was it, he left, and nothing.
