"Korroziya Metalla" (Corrosion of Metal) is a Soviet and later Russian thrash metal band formed in 1984 in Moscow. The leader of the band is co-founder and bassist Sergey Troitsky, known by the pseudonym Pauk (Spider); the vocalist is Aleksandr Skvortsov ("Jack Sparrow", "Meat Zombie").

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
According to the Russian channel LifeNews, in 2015 drummer Andrey Martynenko ("Dancer" / "Tantsor", who played in the band from 2004 to 2010) was mobilized by the Rivne military enlistment office into the "Azov" battalion. Regarding this, Troitsky gave his comment:
When this ATO started in Donbas, I told the deputies: cancel these old rules under which Ukrainian citizens must travel back to their homeland every three months to register at the border. So Andrey went to his home in Rivne to cross the border and come back, but as soon as he stepped into the apartment, the military enlistment services grabbed him and took him into the army. I had to call Yarosh, call «Azov», so they would take him into their music platoon so he wouldn't end up in the regular army. That's why he is alive and well now, currently in Moscow, and not rotting in the ground in Debaltseve.
In August 2017, Sergey Troitsky was included in the database of the Myrotvorets website for deliberate violation of the state border of Ukraine in order to enter Russian-occupied Crimea.
In 2017, in an interview with the publication Ukraina.ru, Troitsky stated that he had communicated with both Motorola and Yarosh, and expressed his opinion on the territories occupied by Russia:
...unfortunately, on both sides, there is an infernal incitement of hatred... It wasn't Russia that seized Crimea; Khrushchev issued a fraudulent decree transferring the peninsula to Ukraine. If Kravchuk had been a conscientious person, he would have returned Crimea back to Russia in 1991. Or they would have come up with a project on how to use this territory jointly — created some kind of confederative republic so that it wouldn't become an apple of discord. Russia is also accused of seizing Donbas, but that wasn't Russia...
Back in 2018, in an interview with Lenta.ru, "Pauk" spoke about the relationship between Russia and Ukraine:
All day long we have frenzied propaganda about some sort of external world politics. For three years straight, they show some stuff about Ukraine, some foolish TV shows, endlessly beating about the bush with some bu**shit. In Russia, ethnic discord is deliberately stoked between the residents of the Ukrainian state and Russian territory to incite hatred... Ukrainians have always had a desire for friendship with Russia, but without being bossed around from Moscow.
The band's musicians have been repeatedly accused of using Nazi aesthetics and xenophobia. Several of their songs have been added to the federal list of extremist materials, including the tracks "Rap is Crap", "Speak Russian!", "Beat the Devils", and "Zig Heil!".
Korroziya Metalla's Stance on the War in Ukraine
On February 26, 2022, Troitsky posted on his VK page "Pauk's February Sermon 2022", where amid a stream of schizophrenic rambling, it is extremely difficult to decipher his stance on the so-called SMO. Specifically, who attacked whom and why, Troitsky did not state.
On April 27, 2024, in Nizhny Novgorod, police disrupted the band's concert at the local club "Nenavist" (Hatred). The musicians and about 40 attendees were detained. Some were beaten. The Nizhny Novgorod District Court fined Troitsky and the band's guitarists under an administrative article for displaying Nazi symbols. Following this incident, Sergey "Pauk" Troitsky announced the suspension of the band's activities and confirmed that the band's drummer was in a coma in a Nizhny Novgorod hospital. Later, on his personal VK page, Troitsky vented his anger against the "organizers of the slaughter" and simultaneously explained what the Russian soldier is fighting for:

Judging by the band's concert schedule on their official website, the band's concerts in Moscow were not canceled.
Cyprus Interview 2025
In September 2025, in an interview with the YouTube channel Kalinikta-Cyprus, Troitsky called Putin "a Petersburg devil who moved into the Kremlin in the year 2000", discussed the "feast during a plague" and the reasons for reviving old, forgotten performers, as well as the real objectives of the war:
For the past 3 years, terrible political events have been unfolding. There is this trench warfare mess going on, like in ancient times. The goal of this war is not the seizure of territory, but the disposal of the Russian population holding Ukrainian and Russian Federation passports. The longer it goes on, the more people burn in hell. In Moscow, when you go down into the subway, into public places, men and guys aged 23 to 45, up to 50, are simply not there. Only women, nerds, and some old men and old women are sitting around. They have all vanished somewhere: some fled mobilization, some were burned there. And when such bloody disposal is taking place, a mass of new technologies is applied... a feast during a plague is staged so the ordinary person doesn't notice how they are being gradually eliminated...
