Nikita Dzhigurda is a Russian actor and bard. People's Artist of the Chechen Republic (2008). Honored Artist of the Kabardino-Balkarian ASSR (1987). Born on March 27, 1961, in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR, USSR (Wikipedia).

Nikita Dzhigurda's political views are quite contradictory: he has supported both the Maidan and DPR separatists.
From March 9 to 14, 2017, he was a «citizen of the DPR»; he was stripped of this «citizenship», which had allegedly been issued by mistake. Dzhigurda himself stated in an interview that he was stripped of citizenship for his proposal to hold a referendum in the DPR on renaming the republic to the Donetsk People's Republic of Ukraine.
On March 9, 2017, he was entered into the Myrotvorets database for an assault on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and the propaganda of Russian Nazism and fascism.
In July 2020, on the air of writer Diana Kadi's YouTube channel, Nikita Dzhigurda stated that Russian TV host Vladimir Solovyov «deliberately distorted the role of Bandera and Banderites». Dzhigurda noted that «for me as a Ukrainian there are other heroes; everyone has their own heroes».
In August 2020, in an interview with journalist Natalya Vlashchenko, the actor stated that he considers Crimea de jure Ukrainian territory.
On December 9, 2022, information emerged that Dzhigurda obtained Russian citizenship under a simplified procedure as a citizen of Ukraine.
In April 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted the NSDC decision on the imposition of personal sanctions against Nikita Dzhigurda. The sanctions include asset freezing, revocation of state awards, prohibition of media dissemination on Ukrainian territory, and other restrictions.
Dzhigurda's position on the war in Ukraine
Nikita Dzhigurda openly supports the Putin regime and the terrorist war in Ukraine, being an ardent Z-patriot:
Better the SMO, which I support with all my heart, than war. Had there been war, and Prince Vladimir, as I call him (editor's note: referring to Putin), everything would have gone completely to hell. Naturally, the Americans would have advanced like in Iraq, Afghanistan — everywhere, burning down everything in their path, since our compatriots, Russian people intimidated by Nazis, are there. That's a separate story.

Dzhigurda frequently visits terrorists in Donbas to support them in their effort to destroy his native Ukrainian people.
