Tequilajazzz is a Russian rock band playing alternative and experimental rock. The collective was formed in 1993 in Saint Petersburg. The band's frontman is Evgeny Fedorov.
Listening to the old tracks of this artist on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services may indirectly contribute to financing the war — through royalties paid to Russian labels and distributors, which pay taxes to the budget of the Russian Federation.
Following Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014, the band refused to visit the occupied territory:
We demonstratively traveled to Ukraine on tour. This was an intentional demonstration of our position: in order to go to Ukraine, one had to not go to Crimea.
Tequilajazzz’s Position on the War in Ukraine
In the spring of 2022, Evgeny Fedorov openly spoke out against the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. The peace symbol was incorporated into the band's logo. In March 2022, Evgeny Fedorov emigrated from Russia to Estonia after receiving numerous threats due to his vocal criticism of the Russian authorities:
...45 minutes after the first call arrived (note: with threats), we picked up the children from school right in the middle of a class and departed without even stopping at home. Today my morning starts with news about what is happening in my homeland and what is happening in Ukraine, and each day I become more convinced that I made the right decision.
The band temporarily suspended its concert activity and later continued performing live concerts across Europe.
In November 2022, citing ideological differences, co-founder and drummer Aleksandr «Duser» Voronov left the band, refusing to perform abroad:
As a reasonable person, I am against any war, but if a war is currently underway, then I stand on the side of my homeland, I stand with our boys who are dying for our Slavic ideas and interests.

A very large segment of the population is poisoned by the notion that 'we are rescuing someone from Nazis.' This is the manipulation through which the idea of war penetrated into people's consciousness.
As far as the future of Russia is concerned, I am pessimistic. It seems to me that all of this is going to last a very long time. And even if by some miracle something abruptly changes in the political structure right now, the people who today feel joy following every missile strike on Ukrainian cities are not going anywhere. I cannot see myself anywhere near them, and I do not believe my purpose is to entertain them in any way or sing anything for them.
