Alena Khmelnitskaya is a Russian theater and film actress and television presenter. Former wife of Tigran Keosayan. Born on January 12, 1971, in Moscow.

In August 2018, she was entered into the Myrotvorets database for deliberate violation of the State Border of Ukraine in order to enter Russian-occupied Crimea. She participated in the filming of the propaganda film "The Bridge" ("Most") about the construction of the Crimean Bridge (directed by Tigran Keosayan), 2017.
Alena Khmelnitskaya's stance on the war in Ukraine
On February 24, 2022, the actress published a post on Instagram, writing in capital letters "NO TO WAR", but did not delve into the details of the conflict, simply urging the parties towards a peaceful settlement of all issues.

Khmelnitskaya supported her colleague Liya Akhedzhakova, who was dismissed from the theater due to her anti-war statements.
Love, respect, support. The one and only Liya Medzhidovna, you cannot be dismissed from our hearts
In an interview for the YouTube channel RTVI Entertainment, Alena spoke about assisting Ukrainian refugees and her participation in the "Lighthouse Charity Foundation" ("Dom s Mayakom"):
This is a great tragedy for a huge number of people that is taking place right now. Naturally, peaceful people in enormous numbers become victims of military hostilities. And they flee, they save their lives, they try to survive somehow, and a vast number of these refugees end up here, as it were, on the territory of our country. There are various requests, pleas for what is needed, some very elementary items are needed: frying pans, clothes, some people have lost their homes completely. Some were left behind, some arrived without any relatives, some elderly people... This could happen to us. Well, how can you not help in this situation? It is impossible now to turn away from this and claim «we don't see anything, we don't hear anything» — that would be wrong. And so the foundation «Dom s Mayakom» (Lighthouse Charity), which used to be exclusively a children's hospice, set up a dedicated charity specifically to help refugees....

Her anti-war statements did not negatively affect the creative career of Alena Khmelnitskaya; she did not face cancel culture and continues to work in Russia.
