Kristina Asmus (real surname Myasnikova) is a Russian theater and film actress. Known for her role as Varvara Chernous in the television series «Interns» (2010–2013). Ex-wife of the famous showman Garik Kharlamov.
The position of Kristina Asmus regarding the war in Ukraine
On February 24, 2022, on the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Asmus published a black square on Instagram and wrote the caption: «Fear and pain. I pray, stop all of this. No to war.»
On February 26, 2022, the actress posted another message about a «carefree childhood for all children», in which she admitted that she was crying because of the war.
The consequence of publishing the anti-war post was the opening of an administrative case against Kristina Asmus for «discrediting the Russian army». She faced a fine of 50,000 rubles. The court began reviewing the case file on September 6, by which time the post had been deleted from the actress's account. In the end, the judge ruled that there was no corpus delicti in the case. According to her lawyer, the actress wrote the post on Instagram in a «state of emotional distress» and then forgot about it.
