Nikita Panfilov is a Russian theater, film, and television actor, as well as a TV presenter. Born on April 30, 1979, in Moscow. Rose to widespread prominence through his leading roles in the television series "Sweet Life", "Silver Spoon" (Mazhor), and "The Dog" (Pes). For many years, "The Dog" was filmed on location in Ukraine (in Kyiv), and Panfilov worked in the Ukrainian capital for extensive periods.
Nikita Panfilov's Stance Before 2022
Despite his long-term employment in Kyiv, in April 2018 Nikita Panfilov was entered into the database of the "Myrotvorets" website for illegally visiting Russian-annexed Crimea. Later, in 2019, the actor stated that for the sake of continuing filming the Ukrainian series "The Dog", he was willing to forgo trips to the Crimean peninsula:
Otherwise I simply won't be able to film. All the shoots take place in Ukraine, and I am the only Russian actor there.
Nevertheless, the actor's visits to Ukraine triggered controversy in the media due to his presence in the "Myrotvorets" registry, although he continued working on Ukrainian television projects right up until the outbreak of the full-scale war.
Nikita Panfilov's Stance After February 24, 2022
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Nikita Panfilov chose a tactic of public silence and completely ignoring the war. He made no public statements either in support of or against the invasion, and when asked directly about his stance on the war, he replied:
There are two things I never talk about: politics and my exes. Let's talk about something pleasant.
Panfilov remained living and working in Russia. He continues starring in Russian productions broadcast on federal channels and participating in Moscow's high-society entertainment life.
