Aleksey Shcherbakov is a Russian comedian, resident on the "Stand Up" show on TNT, and one of the hosts of the popular online show "What Happened Next?" (ChBD). Born on 15 December 1988 in Zelenograd, Moscow, RSFSR, USSR.

In a 2020 interview with Yury Dud, he criticized Vladimir Putin:
Every year she turns on the New Year's speech. My father-in-law and I sit there: «Go ahead, pile some fresh noodles onto our ears», while she goes: «Alright, stop picking on my president.» I don't know what needs to change. She works in a medical clinic as a nurse, she sees everything, yet who is to blame? The head doctor is to blame. «They fired Lyudka at work.» Well sure, it wasn't Putin who fired Lyudka, just an administrative order came down to fire everyone. Everything is in deep sh*t, it's in plain sight, but for some reason people still don't get it. Does Putin have to walk up to them and say «I hate you all» for them to finally go «Aha... so that's what it is»? I don't know, they're content with everything. She says there's no money, no decent pension. But who is to blame? «I don't know, definitely not Putin, he does everything to make things good
Shcherbakov's stance on the war in Ukraine
The stand-up comedian avoided commenting directly on Russia's full-scale assault on Ukraine, deciding to maintain a posture of total silence.
In a 2023 interview with V. Bukharov, Aleksey Shcherbakov shared his perspective on mobilization in Russia and stated that he would leave the country if called up, refusing to go to war:
I simply understood that, probably, I'm shielded by the scale of my fame. Because it's very strange to just up and leave like that. Plus, I understood that, of course, [I would leave] from... Well, they can't get to me. I mean, in the sense that I won't go and... Well, right now we'll [say] too much.
Cancellation of concerts in 2026
In March 2026, reports surfaced regarding the cancellation of comedian Aleksey Shcherbakov's concerts across Russia. Official explanations for the cancellations were not provided. These announcements emerged shortly after his trip to Kazakhstan.
Shcherbakov flew to Almaty for the premiere of the movie "Beyish-2", in which he made an appearance. Speaking at the premiere screening, the comedian declared that he "came to visit a friend", likely referring to Kazakh comedian Nurlan Saburov, who had just been barred from entering Russia for 50 years.
Support for the "SMO"
In order to appease the Russian authorities and prevent further concert cancellations, Aleksey organized charity concerts in May 2026 in support of the families of Russian occupying soldiers. When commercial earnings are at stake, moral convictions quickly become secondary.

What celebrities say about Shcherbakov's civic stance
ChBD comes out on top. They sold out for some three to five episodes on VKontakte. They'll quietly sit in silence over there, then smoothly emerge, launch their own app, and leave for Dubai, Kazakhstan, or wherever their residence permits take them. And they'll live peacefully with their millions. They didn't just shove their tongue up their ass — they simply had their faces stuffed with cash and headed to VKontakte. I don't know their exact political stance, but I'm certain that seven out of eight are definitely against it, and who the one is, you can decide for yourselves.
