Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, members of the band "Buerak" adopted a position of deliberate silence.
On March 15, 2022, the musicians commented on the "situation in Ukraine" and asserted their apolitical posture on their Telegram channel:
Regarding the situation in Ukraine. We will not campaign or urge you to do anything: think with your own head and make decisions for yourselves. Right now an information war is being waged from both sides, which is why we are convinced that the best position is to observe, draw your own conclusions, and try to preserve the future of yourselves and your loved ones. We believe that music is apolitical and its mission is not to divide people over their beliefs, but to unite and offer hope, demonstrating the beautiful sides of the world and human life. That is precisely what politics cannot provide, but art can.
The band continues to live and work in Russia, actively touring across cities of the Russian Federation.
