Chace Crawford's position on the war in Ukraine
After February 24, 2022, the American actor did not stand aside and openly condemned Russian military aggression. As early as March 1, 2022, Crawford took part in a street anti-war protest in support of Ukraine. He joined the rally alongside his Ukrainian friend Ksenia and hundreds of other activists.
On that same day, the actor published a post on his Instagram account, where he called what was happening in Ukraine an "absolute atrocity". He spoke about the family of his friend Ksenia, who at that time was in Ukraine under shelling, and expressed admiration for the strength and courage of the Ukrainian people. Chace's appeal was supported not only by followers, but also by colleagues in the industry, including Antony Starr, who portrays Homelander.
The actor also financially supported the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) by making a personal monetary donation and posting a direct link for fundraising, calling on his multi-million audience of followers to follow his example and help Ukrainians in this moment of crisis.
From the very first days of the large-scale conflict, Chace Crawford took an unambiguous and active stance. He did not limit himself to words of support, backing up his statements with participation in protest actions and donations to the needs of the Ukrainian army.
