Stephen King is an American author of over 200 works, including more than 50 bestsellers in horror, fantasy, thriller, and supernatural fiction. Known worldwide as the "King of Horror", he was born on September 21, 1947, in Portland, Maine, USA.

In 2017, he was blocked on Twitter by US President Donald Trump (the author frequently expressed strong criticism of Trump and his administration's policies). In response, Stephen King humorously "banned" the president from watching the films "It" and "Mr. Mercedes", writing: "No clowns for you."
Stephen King's Stance on the War in Ukraine
In 2022, he strongly condemned Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and also announced that he would not renew his book publishing contracts with Russia.

In May 2022, King published a tweet in which he ridiculed Putin and his so-called special military operation:
Putin thought he was dealing with a lapdog. Turns out he was dealing with a wolverine. Slava Ukraini!

He has also repeatedly posted messages wishing peace and victory to Ukraine, and appeared in public wearing clothing featuring Ukrainian state symbols (such as "I Stand With Ukraine" shirts and caps).

A significant portion of Stephen King's posts on Twitter (X) has been dedicated to Ukraine and the struggle of its people against Russian invaders. The author constantly draws the attention of the international community to events surrounding the war in Ukraine.
Читав його твори і раніше, як і дивився неодноразово екранізації, але після цієї статті, схотілося ще дужче пізнати цього "проукраїнського друга", та "Пенівайза" (для тих, хто ображає мою Неньку)!
