Dora’s Position on the War in Ukraine
On February 24, 2022, the day of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Dora cancelled the scheduled release of her studio album «Miss», which had been slated to drop on February 25, writing on her social media channels:
I don't even know how one could release an album in such a heartbreaking time. It feels so petty and foolish. I am endlessly sorry; this is all unbelievably terrifying. I wish with all my heart that none of this were real. There will be no album today. Please take care of yourselves.

The singer also posted on Twitter: "You won't solve anything with hatred." And on Instagram: "Let's live in peace."
In June 2022, her scheduled appearance was cancelled at the Saint Petersburg music festival «Otlichny FEST». Soon after, the release concert for Dora's new album, scheduled for July 27, 2022, at the Flacon Design Factory in Moscow, was also abruptly cancelled.
It was revealed that Dora had been placed on the blacklist of artists banned in Russia due to anti-war stances, published by the investigative outlet Fontanka. Her name was subsequently quietly removed from the leaked roster.
Dora's live concerts in Russian cities continue to face disruptions from pro-war officials. For example, on June 8, 2024, her concert in Saratov was cancelled following public outrage incited by local municipal deputy Blatman, who condemned the singer's early anti-war statements:
I learned from the media that tonight a certain performer — Dora — is scheduled to give a concert in Saratov. As far as art goes, this young person is thoroughly unremarkable. However, in public media space, she made herself known by criticizing the special military operation... The manager of the nightclub where tonight's concert was booked evidently decided that commercial box office profit is far more valuable than the country and its citizens. In doing so, he, just like this Dora, showed his true colors toward the guys who are shedding their blood for Russia's future, and for his own children and grandchildren.
