Horus, formerly known as Luperkal (Alexey Spiridonov), is a Russian rapper and graphic artist. He was born on May 23, 1983, in Kyiv, Ukraine. At the age of five, he moved with his family to Cheboksary. He holds Russian citizenship.
From 2002 to 2004, he served in the Russian armed forces in the Caucasus region.
Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
Position of Horus on the war in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory, Horus published a post on his Instagram account expressing opposition to bloodshed without specifying who attacked whom (the post was later deleted):
Naturally, I am against bloodshed, loss of human life, and all the rest of this fucking disaster that has crashed down upon our sinful heads. It would be strange to expect anything else from a person watching the news and seeing explosions thunder and people die in the very city where he was born, wouldn't it?
Horus chose to make no direct political statements, adopting a position of silence.
On October 12, 2022, he announced on his Telegram channel that he had left Russia and did not plan to return; however, he later deleted the post and claimed it was a joke.
For 2024, the artist scheduled a major concert tour across Russian cities.
