Igor Link's Position on the War in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Igor Link took an unambiguous anti-war stance. Link openly condemned the actions of the Russian authorities and the full-scale invasion of Ukraine:
... It's hard to believe that the old man has lost his mind so completely that all of this is actually happening in reality right now. It's frankly terrifying... You spend your whole life trying to get by, create something, build a life for yourself, and every time, all of it is destroyed by an insane, crazed old man, so cartoonishly inhumane and demented that he seems like a villain straight out of comic books. And even after escaping to another country, you cannot escape the impact of his delusional, criminal decisions on your life. And the most terrifying thing is that he doesn't destroy your life deliberately — he couldn't care less about you. It's merely collateral damage while he seeks to take the lives of thousands of people, citizens of another country, in order to stitch another piece of territory onto his rotting carcass like Frankenstein... And I'm simply terrified for Ukrainians — people can't even fly out right now, major cities are being pounded by missiles. It's not even clear how anyone can help them. Complete f*cking nightmare.
I hope the war ends soon too (and specifically in a way that Putin gets the f*ck out of Ukraine)

He voiced his position across other social networks as well, although for unknown reasons, numerous anti-war messages on Telegram were subsequently deleted.
Attitude Toward Mobilization
After Igor received a military draft notice, he stated on his social media that "even if I were in Russia, I would rather go to prison than to a military enlistment office."

Igor also shared information about free Czech language courses for Ukrainian schoolchildren and students designed to assist Ukrainian refugees with adaptation.
Today, Igor Link continues to harshly criticize the Russian government and pro-war jingoists ("vatniks") using caustic sarcasm. He mocks state censorship and attempts to isolate the Russian internet, actively supports VPN tools to bypass blocking, and urges his audience not to harbor illusions regarding the future of freedom in Russia.
