JesusAVGN (Khesus, Alexey Gubanov) is a Russian video blogger, Let's Player, and streamer known for creating content on YouTube and Twitch. He was born on March 30, 1992, in Novokuznetsk, Russia. Since late 2021, he has lived in the United States.

In 2024, Alexey actively participated in the election campaign of opposition politician Boris Nadezhdin, who ran as a candidate for the presidency of the Russian Federation.
On April 4, 2025, the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation added Alexey Gubanov to the registry of physical persons designated as foreign agents.
JesusAVGN's Stance on the War in Ukraine
Following the outbreak of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Alexey Gubanov published an anti-war post on his Telegram channel condemning Putin's rhetoric and urging people to "get the hell out of Russia":
I'm watching Putin's live broadcast right now and I am in complete f***ing shock at what he's spewing, this is f***ed up. I actually don't know what I'm more shocked by — my sources who told me everything would start around February 20th, which I warned about on streams a month ago, or what this schizoid is spewing. Before it's too late, get the hell out if you have the chance, especially streamers, bloggers, etc., who have that opportunity, before borders close and they send you off as cannon fodder to war. Who the f*** knows, even now I hope things won't go entirely too far, although everything is already way too f***ed up.
Volunteering and Aid to Ukraine
The blogger has repeatedly expressed support for Ukraine during his broadcasts. He organized fundraisers to provide humanitarian aid to the civilian population (purchasing first-aid kits, clothing, food, and emergency supplies for Ukrainians affected by the war). He also transferred donations to volunteer and charitable organizations. The blogger publishes all financial reports on his Telegram channel.
In April 2023, the Donatello platform restricted Khesus's profile following complaints from Ukrainian bloggers and streamers regarding doubts about the collection of funds to help Ukrainians. In response, Khesus provided the platform with accounting reports and proof of fund usage, but received no response.
In 2024, during a Twitch stream, Khesus organized a fundraiser for humanitarian aid for Ukrainian volunteer Denys Khrystov (callsign "Hollander"), who is engaged in evacuating civilians from combat zones. The goal was to purchase an evacuation vehicle. Subsequently, the DonationAlerts service blocked the fundraiser on Khesus's profile, citing platform terms violations, specifically suspected funding of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Gubanov refuted these allegations, stating that the raised funds were intended exclusively for humanitarian assistance.
Conflict with Russian Authorities
In 2024, an administrative case was opened against Alexey Gubanov under the article on "discrediting the Russian army." The streamer himself commented on this by affirming the correctness of his stance.
Russian propagandists, particularly Ekaterina Mizulina, accused him of "financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine" and filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation.

Ultimately, the blogger was designated a foreign agent and fined 50,000 rubles.
Furthermore, due to his pro-Ukrainian position, the blogger faced blocking by the telecom operator Beeline. His video content was either entirely inaccessible or played with constant buffering and long load times. In terms of access restrictions, JesusAVGN ranked first among blocked creators.
Interview with Ukrainian Media (2025)
In October 2025, Alexey gave an interview to the Ukrainian television channel "Channel 24." Key quotes by Khesus regarding the war and his stance:
On Crimea and the status of the aggressor:
Crimea is Ukrainian. Without «ifs» or «buts» — this is a fact of international law. Russia is the occupier and the aggressor.
On Ukraine's right to defense:
Ukraine has every right to strike Russian territory. Absolutely.
On the start of the war and reaction:
On the very first day, I came out against all of this. I launched a stream, there were over 100,000 viewers then. People were in shock, many were against me. But over time, they began flipping their stances.
On propaganda and the Kremlin's lies:
Propagandists in Russia are already getting tangled in their own lies. They don't understand where the «Nazis» are and where the truth is. I have been to Ukraine twice — I saw no Nazis. The truth is with Ukraine.
On the responsibility of Russians:
I don't understand how one can live in Russia and not take an interest in politics. It affects everyone. Those who say «we don't influence anything,» of course, don't influence anything — because they do nothing.
On the Russian opposition:
The Russian opposition made a mistake. They decided to fight through peaceful means — and they got what they got. When a hundred thousand came out on Bolotnaya Square, they needed to take action, not shine flashlights.
On bloggers who "cannot leave":
Saying that «there was no choice» is complete nonsense. Everyone has a choice, especially wealthy and famous people. Amiran, for example, has a US Green Card. They simply chose money and comfort.
On Ukrainians' attitude toward him:
Sometimes Ukrainians write unpleasant things — I treat that with understanding. They live in a war, lose loved ones, hear explosions. They have the right to their emotions. But those Russians who take offense at comments and change their stance are just foolish.
On aid to Ukraine:
We raised funds for the evacuation of civilians from Kherson Oblast, bought vehicles, water, medications. I am pleased when Ukrainian soldiers send thank-you videos — it means I'm not doing all this in vain.
On the "gray zone" in the war:
There is no gray zone. If you are not with Ukraine, that means you are with Russia.
Campaign Against "Alabuga Polytech" Advertising
In spring 2026, Khesus became one of the key initiators of a public campaign against advertising "Alabuga Polytech" — a project belonging to the special economic zone "Alabuga," which is under international sanctions for producing Russian attack drones.
Alexey was among the first to publicly draw attention to streams and advertising integrations related to "Alabuga," after which he urged users to report en masse the accounts promoting this project on Twitch. Additionally, Khesus helped circulate a list of YouTube channels promoting "Alabuga," calling for documenting such integrations and getting them removed from international platforms. To document blogger integrations with Alabuga, the website gubanovfiles.com was created.
As a result, YouTube began mass-deleting videos containing advertisements for "Alabuga Polytech," many bloggers were forced to edit out advertising integrations from already published videos, and Twitch banned the official "Alabuga Polytech" channel and several accounts involved in promoting the project.
JesusAVGN is one of the few Russian streamers who openly supported Ukraine from the very beginning of the invasion. He calls Russia the occupier, Crimea Ukrainian, and seeks no compromises. Consistent in his position, he aids Ukraine through volunteering, donations, and public anti-war statements.
