Mellstroy (Andrey Burim) is an infamous Belarusian streamer, video blogger, and one of the most prominent figures in the "trash-streaming" genre. Born on December 15, 1998, in Gomel (Belarus).

On February 13, 2024, he was put on the wanted list by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs following criminal charges in the Republic of Belarus for evading military service. Later, he purchased sports equipment and clothing for 500 orphanages in Belarus, after which his name was removed from the wanted databases.
The streamer was permanently banned from Twitch and Trovo for promoting online casinos following an appeal by Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Safe Internet League.
Mellstroy's Position on the War in Ukraine
Prior to 2022, Andrey Burim maintained an exclusively apolitical stance. His content was centered on gambling, parties, and outrageous behavior. Political questions were virtually never raised on his streams, as the streamer consistently emphasized that his primary goals were money and clout.
Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Mellstroy did not openly condemn the aggression or support either side. His stance is best characterized as an attempt to "sit on two chairs" in order to preserve his audience and lucrative casino advertising contracts.
Statements About the War on Chatroulette
During one of his streams, Mellstroy admitted that he likes watching Vox Veritatis — a well-known Ukrainian historian-blogger who methodically debunks pro-war Russian talking points on Chatroulette.
During a conversation on Chatroulette, he commented on questions regarding the war in Ukraine. Answering rebukes concerning the use of Belarusian territory for the Russian invasion in 2022, he stated that he bears no personal responsibility because he has no influence over government decisions and owns nothing more than his own apartment.
The streamer also emphasized that such topics force people to take sides, which inevitably sparks backlash, adding that he does not want to endanger himself or his family through public statements. Ultimately, Mellstroy described himself as a "pacifist."
What Mellstroy's Father Said About Ukraine
A video circulating online, recorded back in 2022 with Mellstroy's late father, shows him expressing support for Ukraine, claiming that in the future "Moscow will become a Ukrainian city" and the stars on the Kremlin's towers "will be replaced with tryzubs (tridents)."
