Diana Arbenina is a singer, poetess, and musician. Lead vocalist of the Russian rock band "Nochnye Snaypery" (Night Snipers). Born on July 8, 1974, in Volozhin, Minsk Region, Byelorussian SSR.

On July 3, 2014, Diana Arbenina performed a concert in Kyiv. From the stage in front of fans, the artist apologized for her Russian colleagues who did not support Ukraine. Subsequently, her concerts across Russia were canceled.
At the same time, on June 27, 2015, her band «Nochnye Snaypery» gave a concert in occupied Yalta, despite the fact that in May 2014 the singer had fundamentally refused to perform concerts in annexed Crimea.
Unfortunately, Diana repeatedly changed her shoes [flip-flopped] subsequently as well.
The position of Diana Arbenina regarding the war in Ukraine
Initially, the impression was created that the singer understood the full horror that Russia unleashed on the territory of Ukraine and did not support the actions of the aggressor country. She repeatedly spoke out against the war, due to which concerts were canceled in several Russian cities following denunciations. She stated that she had no intention of leaving: «Everything happening with my country right now is an enormous tragedy.»
In April 2022, «Nochnye Snaypery» released an anti-war song «Ne Molchi» («Don't Be Silent») with the lyrics: «You are going to someone else's war, and nobody asked us.»

However, over time Diana Arbenina changed her attitude toward the war; after all, permission to perform concerts in the Russian Federation and continue earning bloody rubles turned out to be more important.
I love my country, I have loved it all my life. I believe that right now it is vulgar to run around with flags shouting: «That's me, that's me!». I simply do not believe such people. And the guys on the frontlines wouldn't believe such people either. I assure you. Because those people are doing real work.
In October 2023, during her concert in Novosibirsk, Arbenina invited the wife of a Russian serviceman onto the stage to perform her song "Sekundu Nazad" ("A Second Ago") together. The activist gave the singer a trench candle and "wanted to light it right away."

Backstage at the concert, the singer «expressed support for the wives and mothers» of Russians fighting in Ukraine and stated that the occupiers were «doing their job». On social media, Arbenina wrote that Russian women «showed her photos of their fallen sons», which «tore her heart apart». She added that she sympathized with their grief.
Nevertheless, the "cancel culture" continues to pursue the artist. On February 25 and 27, 2024, the singer's concerts in Vladivostok and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk were canceled. To this, Arbenina reacted sharply, speaking from the stage during a concert in Khabarovsk:
The concert was announced two months ago, and suddenly a cheerleading festival magically materialized. Isn't that absolute insanity? And Vladivostok is even worse — 12 bow-legged ghouls scribbled some crappy papers, and because of that, the city authorities threw over five thousand people who bought tickets under the bus.
Celebrities on Arbenina's position
Now, I don't want to justify Diana, but I certainly don't want to attack Diana either. It's just that she probably made the decision that she wants to try to sit on both of those chairs at once.
