Kai Angel (real name Dmitry Itskov) is a Russian-Israeli rap artist, one of the members of the duo Viperr (together with 9mice). Previously made music under the pseudonym Zavet. Born on February 4, 1997, in Bryansk, Russia.
Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
Currently, Kai Angel resides in California, returning to his home country as part of concert tours.
Kai Angel's Stance on the War in Ukraine
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Kai Angel has made no direct public statements about the war. Nevertheless, on Instagram (under his previous username @zavetvip), the artist posted a selfie from London with a caption expressing his attitude toward the events, writing: «we will resurrect stay tuned i pray for you everyday f*ck war». Despite this anti-war slogan, the musician has never articulated a clear and comprehensive political stance.
Kai Angel & 9mice continued to actively tour cities across Russia.
Comments Regarding the War in Israel
The topic of the war in Israel, where his family resides, deeply affected the artist. In October 2023, Kai Angel revealed that his sister was mobilized into the army following the large-scale attack by the Hamas group on October 7. In an emotional post, the musician wrote:
My sister is serving in the army in Israel right now, and my mom is sitting at home alone over there. F...ck anyone, you pissed-on morons, who writes me a single crooked word on this topic in DMs.» A little later he added: «I see so many uplifting messages. Well done guys, support each other in difficult moments, send positive energy, and do not let the evil inside and around you prevail. Remember that the entire essence of our existence on this pain-filled planet is love; it is the highest and most profound thing in the universe. I love you.
