Kolyaka (real name Nikolay) is a Russian-speaking video blogger, streamer, and truck driver. He was born on April 30, 1997, in Rostov Oblast (Russia). He gained fame through live broadcasts on TikTok and Twitch, where he performs absurdist tarot fortunetelling.

Warning! This creator's content includes provocations, harsh trolling, and offensive jokes about the war. Some statements may be distressing or insulting, particularly to a Ukrainian audience.

Kolyaka's Stance on the War in Ukraine

Emigration from Russia and Anti-War Statements

Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Kolyaka made the decision to leave the country. In June 2022, he relocated to the United States of America.

In the video «One Year of War: What Can We Do?», released on February 24, 2023, Kolyaka unequivocally backed Ukraine, wishing it victory and urging his audience to provide financial and humanitarian aid to Ukrainians and the Armed Forces of Ukraine:

On February 24, 2022, when Nazi Russia attacked the sovereign state of Ukraine... despicable Putin, copying his German counterpart Hitler to the maximum, attacked in the early morning without a declaration of war.

The Ukrainian nation simply accomplished an unbelievable feat that will forever be recorded in history textbooks... I honestly take my hat off to you, dear Ukrainians, because by holding your ground and stopping the Nazi Putin regime from advancing further, you saved not only your country, you saved Europe from a tremendous catastrophe.

Putin went to eradicate the alleged Russophobia in Ukraine, and what do we have now? ... Putin created this Russophobia with his war, the kind of hatred that never existed in Ukraine before. There is not a single Ukrainian right now who hasn't lost someone in this war... How could the Ukrainian population not feel hatred when people broke into their home, when they are murdered and slaughtered, when they are left without power, without heat?

I appeal to all Russians who are currently abroad: guys, I urge you, I am begging you—help Ukraine...

Burning the Russian Passport

In April 2023, Kolyaka recorded a video in which, set to Noize MC's anti-war track «Swan Lake Cooperative,» he burned his Russian passport, calling it «a membership card of a terrorist organization»:

Just getting rid of this membership card... doesn't make you completely pure and innocent. Every Russian... has an obligation not just to say ‘I am against the war,’ but to help the Ukrainian people not only in word, but in deed, because we are all to blame; every citizen of Russia shares the blame for this.

Military and Humanitarian Support for Ukraine

Back in 2023, the creator confessed that he sends money to the AFU every month and urged Russians abroad to do the same.

In 2025, he donated $1,500 to the «Exchange Fund of Dmitry and Vladimir» to help swap captured Chechen fighters for Ukrainian defenders.

In 2026, Kolyaka reposted a fundraiser for assault troops of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RDK) (a military formation consisting of Russian citizens fighting on Ukraine's side against the Kremlin regime). The blogger himself stated that he donated $1,000 to the RDK.

He also reposted a 100,000 hryvnia fundraising campaign to equip assault teams for the Freedom of Russia Legion—a special unit under Ukraine's Main Directorate of Intelligence (HUR MOU) composed of Russian volunteers fighting against Putin's regime.

During one of his streams, he joked about these reposts, claiming he thought the RDK was an army fighting for Russia, and that Azov was just a town 40 kilometers from Rostov-on-Don.

In October 2022, while living in the United States, Kolyaka volunteered in a food distribution program organized by a Ukrainian refugee assistance charity.

Transition to Political Trolling

The blogger structured his online content around meta-irony and absurdist trolling («rofls»). His political commentary became a perpetual oscillation between conflicting stances. In some posts, Kolyaka calls Ukrainians derogatory slurs and mocks their democratic European aspirations. In others, he fiercely ridicules pro-war Z-patriots, calling the Russian army an occupation force and Putin's regime fascist.

Examples of Anti-Russian Statements

Kolyaka performed a mock tarot card reading on the question: «Will Putin step down from the presidency before the end of 2026?» He called such an outcome «the most righteous event.» His reading concluded: «A Flamingo missile will strike him in the Kremlin before the year ends, and he will drop dead.»

Examples of Anti-Ukrainian Statements

Chatroulette: When «Rofl» Crosses All Limits

Furthermore, Kolyaka enters video chatroulettes where he aggressively trolls and demeans Ukrainians, ranting unhinged Z-patriotic talking points under the guise of an ordinary Russian. Ukrainians in chatroulettes frequently take these «rofls» seriously, as years of war have accustomed them to encountering genuine Russian interlocutors espousing the exact same horrifying views in earnest.

For example, during one stream, Kolyaka crossed every acceptable line:

How do you feel about the fact that we fucking smashed your whole country into ruins? <...> How do you feel about the fact that we fucking kill your women and children... and spare fucking nobody, neither women nor children? How they scream, weep, and record those tearful videos: ‘My child lost both legs, both arms, these cursed Russians killed my whole family.’ And I, for one, masturbate to those videos; it brings me fucking pleasure.

This statement represents an egregious example of Kolyaka exploiting human tragedy, death, and civilian suffering as fuel for cheap shock value. Justifying such abhorrent rhetoric as «irony» or «trolling» in the context of an ongoing real-world war is completely indefensible.

Apology for Past Jokes About Ukrainians

In December 2025, during a stream, Kolyaka revealed that following legal and detention troubles in the US, the overwhelming majority of support came specifically from Ukrainians. The creator admitted feeling ashamed of his past aggressive «rofls.» Previously, he jokingly called the Ukrainian language «moronic» and claimed «Odesa is a Russian city,» expecting Ukrainians to appreciate the irony. However, after his ordeals, he recognized that his jokes were uncalled for and undeserved, particularly given that people who had every reason to see him as an enemy were the only ones who stepped forward to help him.

Putin Tattoo as a Prank

Kolyaka has an enormous tattoo across his forearm depicting Vladimir Putin's portrait flanked by the double-headed eagle.

In a video, Kolyaka explained that it was a prank conceived for internet hype by his manager Gleb. In the end, Kolyaka concluded:

Now I have to walk around with this dumbass on my arm for the rest of my life.

The «Russian Patriot» Persona: Reaction of the Audience and Z-Channels

In 2026, Kolyaka recorded a video playing the caricatured role of a devoted «Z-patriot.» He claimed to regret burning his Russian passport, praised Russian free healthcare, and described «unbearable» conditions in the United States:

And I'd sell my soul to the devil just to return to Russia, because out here, guys, is genuine oppression... I would be a much happier person living in a one-room apartment in Saratov among my own people, speaking my own language... than living here in America, driving a $100,000 car and living in a $700,000 home... A Russian will never feel good here. Ukrainians—yes, because the Ukrainian national idea is to get visa-free travel to Poland and pick strawberries for 2,000 euros a month. Their main goal is to stuff their bellies. They think with their crotches, and don't care about anything else.

The creator divided his audience: while many viewed the video as obvious satirical bait designed to generate views on provocative themes, some viewers (including Russian pro-war Z-channels) took his statements at face value as genuine repentance.

The «I Don't Give a Damn About the War» Stance

In July 2026, he stated that he had grown tired of the war topic and believed that people need trash entertainment for escapism rather than political news:

It's not like I'm buying drones for Russia's 64th Motorized Rifle Brigade, you know, I don't do that. But I'm not helping Ukraine either. I don't give a fuck about any of them, understand? Honestly, this whole topic with the Russians and all that is fucking exhausting. It's already the fifth year; how long can you chew over the exact same thing?... Missiles strike, Russians live with no gasoline, prices rise... People on the internet need to be entertained!

Conclusion

Kolyaka's public behavior has undergone erratic shifts: he initially spoke out against Russian aggression and substantiated it through concrete actions—from burning his passport to providing financial aid to Ukraine and Russian anti-regime volunteer units. However, war subsequently became fodder for his cynical political trolling and online clout. This is particularly evident in chatroulette streams where, under the guise of «humor,» he uses the slaughter of Ukrainian civilians and children to shock random strangers.

This combination of tangible assistance to Ukraine alongside repulsive provocations makes his stance deeply contradictory. For this reason, Kolyaka is categorized under «Disputed.»
