Maksim Golopolosov's stance on the war in Ukraine
First reactions after the invasion started
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Maksim posted a video on his news Telegram channel reporting the announcement of the "SVO", accompanying the post with the brief caption NO WAR.

The channel also featured videos about anti-war protests and detentions of demonstrators, but without any commentary from the blogger himself.
Video address on the war
In June 2022, Golopolosov published a video in which he commented on the war for the first time. The blogger stated that he was shocked by what was happening and did not expect military actions in the 21st century, expressing sympathy for refugees and families of the deceased. At the same time, he candidly admitted that, while remaining in Russia, he could not openly and fully express his opinion due to strict censorship:
In my naivety, I thought that the era of this kind of conflict, the era of such mass suffering and grief, was already behind us. I believed that in the 21st century disputes are resolved through negotiations and diplomacy, and that it was possible to reach an agreement peacefully... I mourn those who died, I empathize with those who had to leave their homes, whose lives were destroyed overnight. The full scale of this grief and tragedy simply doesn't fit in my head, and I don't understand how to live with all this now.
Departure from Russia following mobilization
In late September 2022, shortly after the announcement of "partial mobilization" in Russia, Golopolosov was spotted by eyewitnesses in a pedestrian queue at the Russian-Kazakh border at the Ilek checkpoint in Orenburg Oblast. Later, Golopolosov confirmed that he indeed crossed the border, though he claimed that the trip had been planned well in advance and was related to filming and meetings with partners.
In the autumn of 2023, it became known that the couple settled in Toronto (Canada), where their son was born in November.
Return to Russia
In April 2024, the blogger announced on his "Moran plays" Telegram channel his return to Moscow. Following that, he continued his streaming and blogging activities and began performing stand-up comedy, announcing shows in Moscow clubs.
The show «+100500» also continued airing on the «Che!» TV channel, part of the «CTC Media» holding. The holding is controlled by the «National Media Group» (NMG), which unites several of Russia's largest television channels and maintains close ties with Russian state structures and Kremlin-linked figures.
Registration with Roskomnadzor (RKN)
Golopolosov's social networks and channels are registered in the official register of Roskomnadzor (RKN), confirming compliance with Russian legislation requirements for blogger regulation.
Golopolosov spoke out against the war in general terms, but did not directly condemn the Russian invasion. Afterward, he made no further public statements about the war, returned to Russia, and resumed his public media career, leaving his stance ambiguous.
