StRoGo's Position on the War in Ukraine
Silence Regarding the War
The only comment posted by StRoGo on the day of the full-scale invasion was "f*cked up?" on the streamer's Telegram channel. On the subject of the war, Ivan Shurpatov decided not to speak out, opting for a stance of complete silence.
Reaction to the Words "Slava Ukraini!"
During one of his streams, he suggested banning two players for saying "Slava Ukraini!" ("Glory to Ukraine!").
Russian State Symbols and Putin in Steam Profile
He customized one of his Steam profiles with a background featuring Russian state symbols — the double-headed eagle and the colors of the Russian tricolor. Moreover, StRoGo's Steam inventory was found to include a collection of Putin-themed items. Among them are several images of the Russian president and an item titled "Putin forever" with the inscription "Putin is with us forever."
StRoGo continues to create content for a Russian-speaking audience while living and working in Russia. Despite his widespread fame and large audience, he avoids political commentary and takes no clear stand regarding Russian aggression against Ukraine.
