Marmok (Marin Nikolaevich Mocanu) is a Moldovan Russian-speaking Let's Player, video blogger, and streamer. He is the creator of the popular YouTube channels "Marmok" and "Marmok Live". He was born on August 19, 1991, in the city of Bălți (Moldavian SSR). He currently lives with his family in Chișinău (Moldova).
Marmok's position on the war in Ukraine
Position of being "above politics"
After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Marmok chose an "above politics" stance. On February 24, 2022, the blogger published a short post on his VKontakte page. Marmok posted an image with the flags of Russia and Ukraine, between which was a bandaged ("wounded") heart, captioning the post with the concise phrase: "Like for peace!❤️".
On March 5, 2022, in the introduction to one of his videos, Marmok meaningfully hinted at the absurdity of the war unleashed by Putin and noted that he would not voice his position to the general public:

Reaction to a donation from an "SMO" fighter
On one of his streams, Marmok received a donation from an "SMO" fighter with the message: "I'm currently at the SMO, but your videos still warm my soul." The streamer responded:

Особисто виглядає так що він не обрав жодної сторони, а типу просто "за мір" і "во всьом віновата власть". Не раз робив відео з liker1337 і гавер, а вони чітко антивоєнні. Робить часто відео з другом Johan, і мені здається, що хоч його друг з росії, він більше проти російської влади ніж мармок.
Тож, він проти війни, але жодну зі сторін не підтримує
Але це було в 2019 році 😫. Як це взагалі може хоч якось репрезентувати його позицію зараз? Мовчун є мовчун. Зрештою багато "рос інфлєенсерів" могли жорстко пожартувати про рос пропаганду. Зараз - жодного. А тепер згадаємо, що він навіть фізично не знаходиться в росії і його життю нічого не загрожує. В чому була б проблема такі міні-приколи додавати в нові відео і зараз? Він свідомо обрав бути мовчуном, навіть не будучи росіянином. Свідомо прирівняв себе до них. І заслуговує відповідного ставлення. З оглядом на те, що його життю і свободі буквально нічого не загрожує від прояву своєї позиції - то тим більше. ру*ня не за націаналіністю а за вибором.
