Mikhail Boyarsky is a Soviet and Russian theater and film actor, musician, and singer, People's Artist of the RSFSR (1990). From 1998 to 2007, he was the artistic director of the "Benefis" Theater he founded in Saint Petersburg. Born on December 26, 1949, in Leningrad, RSFSR.

Boyarsky's stance on the war in Ukraine
Supports the Putin regime and Russia's war against Ukraine.
On February 23, 2022, on the eve of the invasion, he posted a statement on Instagram, which he subsequently deleted:
I am convinced that what Vladimir Vladimirovich is doing is well thought out and absolutely correct. I support this decision. The recognition of the «DPR» and «LPR» will help stabilize the situation in Donbas and bring peace to the region's residents. The negative reaction of Western countries to Vladimir Putin's decision regarding the Donbas «republics» was to be expected, because the West has always been antagonistic toward Russia.

In contrast to Mikhail, his daughter Liza Boyarskaya spoke out against Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
