In 2016, Nikolay Naumov, together with other actors from the series Real Boys, traveled to occupied Crimea, disregarding Ukrainian legislation and the norms of international law.
In August 2019, he was entered into the database of the Myrotvorets website for propaganda of war, Russian fascism and Nazism, and public endorsement of Russian aggression and killings of Ukrainian citizens.
Nikolay Naumov's Position on the War in Ukraine
At the start of the full-scale invasion, Nikolay Naumov refrained from making public statements regarding the war in Ukraine, but in 2023 the situation changed.
In January 2023, a video surfaced online in which a man resembling Naumov at a Dubai party demanded that Oleg Gazmanov speak out on the war: "Say that you are against the war! Come on, say it!". Later, Naumov himself recorded a video ridiculing the Dubai incident, denying he was present there, and openly voicing support for the Russian military in Ukraine:
To all our boys currently in Ukraine, I wish you a speedy return home with victory! Keep up the work, brothers!
In August 2023, he visited "SMO" veterans in a military hospital and, alongside the wounded soldiers, recorded video greetings for Russian occupying troops on the frontline:
138th Brigade, our own dearest! Huge greetings, wishing you good health and that everyone returns home with victory!
In the series finale of TNT's Real Boys, the main character Kolyan (Nikolay Naumov) visited wounded soldiers participating in the war in Ukraine.
