Sergey Burunov is a Russian theater, film, voice, and dubbing actor, parodist, and television presenter. He attained widespread popularity through projects such as the television series The Policeman from Rublyovka, the film The Last Warrior, and the satirical show Bolshaya Raznitsa. Born on March 6, 1977, in Moscow, RSFSR.

In an interview with Yury Dud in 2018, Burunov admitted that following 2014, his career encountered severe headwinds due to "unpleasant historical events," the cancellation of film productions in Ukraine, and a reduction in available roles in Russia:
Not very pleasant historical events occurred. I was supposed to be filming in Ukraine and had been cast in a major project, but these events happened, and everything was naturally cancelled. Both 2014 and 2015 were quite difficult for me.
In the same conversation, the actor declined to answer the question "Who did you vote for?", calling it personal. However, when Yury Dud asked what he would say to Vladimir Putin upon meeting him, Burunov replied:
I emphatically greet you, Vladimir Vladimirovich.
Dud followed up by asking whether the actor would admit to Putin who he voted for, and whether the President would like that answer. Burunov confirmed that he would.
In a 2021 interview for the YouTube project Empatiya Manuchi, the actor also shared what being Russian means to him:
To respect your homeland, to love it, to remember your ancestors, your grandfathers, not to be scum, to be kinder.
Sergey Burunov's stance on the war in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Sergey Burunov refrained from making open statements regarding the war.
In February 2024, addressing students at RTU MIREA, he underscored his deep attachment to Russia:
I cannot survive without Russia... Each of us has memories, sensations, places, people that you have right here, [in your heart], and without whom you cannot [live]. I have them too. I won't be able to make it without that. And all of it is located here. I can't survive without it, I would die.
Support for "SMO" participants
In April 2026, Burunov hosted a state gala concert commemorating Cosmonautics Day, where he referred to the actions of the Russian military as an "endless heroic feat." Concluding co-host Yulia Peresild's remarks about how "volunteers from Roscosmos (editor's note: who enlisted to fight in the 'SMO') are doing the possible and impossible to bring victory closer," Burunov concluded:
And even if not all of these stories have a joyful finale, they are all honest and courageous, stories of endless heroism.
For Burunov, "money doesn't smell"—hosting such official functions and reciting scripted praise for the military during wartime firmly underscores his readiness to endorse state narratives whenever advantageous.
Бурунов п***, он поддерживает войну и путина, молчание - знак согласия. Поставьте его в список поддерживающих войну, он в интервью Дудю сказал что проголосовал за путина, а значит - за войну!
