Django (Alexey Poddubny) is a Russian singer, composer, musician, and arranger. He is the frontman and leader of the band Django. Born on January 8, 1969, in Kyiv, Ukrainian SSR. Holds Russian citizenship.

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
In March 2016, he was entered into the database of the Myrotvorets website for war propaganda, public support of Russian aggression, the killing of Ukrainian citizens, and related offenses.
In July 2014, at the "Nashestvie" festival in Russia, he claimed that Ukraine was waging war against its own people.
Starting in 2015, he began performing in the self-proclaimed DPR, playing 100 concerts between 2015 and 2022.
In March 2016, he visited the destroyed Donetsk International Airport as part of his visit to the "DPR."
In 2019, he spoke about the impossibility of Ukraine existing without Russia:
Ukraine is nothing without Russia. It will not be able to exist without Russia without disintegrating into petty principalities perpetually feuding among themselves. Look at what is happening over there right now? It's beyond rock bottom.
Django's Stance on the War in Ukraine
Following February 24, 2022, Django endorsed the full-scale war in Ukraine, calling it "liberating."
For me, Russia's special operation is brilliant. It is aimed at preventing a massive global war. The Russian army command chose the only possible and very correct path: warn all Ukrainian military personnel to lay down their arms, because fighting against the Russian army is obviously completely impossible for them. For 8 years they shouted that they were fighting the Russian army, and now it took practically 24 hours for virtually nothing to remain of their army.
In April 2022, on air during the "My DPR" video blog, Django declared that Ukrainian national identity must be destroyed as an ideology:
Ukrainian identity must be eradicated. Therefore, arise, vast country, arise for mortal combat — against the dark fascist force, the damned horde.
In April 2022, he participated in the "Za Rossiyu!" musical-patriotic marathon supporting Russia's attack on Ukraine.
On September 23, 2022, he performed at the "We Don't Abandon Our Own" concert dedicated to the sham referendums in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
During the 2024 presidential elections in Russia, he became a confidant of Vladimir Putin.
In interviews with Russian propaganda media, Django stated that Russia must fight Ukraine for a long time and potentially switch to other countries:
I live in a great country that stands guard over peace. Everything that they (Western countries) want to do is enslave all of humanity. Everything is returning to the standard confrontation with the West. We don't meddle in their affairs; they surrounded us with their bases. The Bandera regime entered the service of its master, and that master is situated wherever — in America, in London. That is the Western world, and we are at war with them. We must achieve yet another victory of ours. We have to fight them, and probably everything will not end in Ukraine.
Sanctions
On June 1, 2022, Latvia banned Poddubny from entering the country due to his support for the invasion and justification of Russian aggression.
On January 7, 2023, Poddubny was included on Ukraine's sanctions list for having "supported Russia's military invasion of Ukraine in public statements and on social media."
