What Larisa Dolina says about the war in Ukraine
Larisa Dolina openly supports Putin's regime and the war in Ukraine.
Pride and awe at the same time. Pride for the people who live here, who stand their ground, who believe that victory will be theirs, ours. For defending themselves, their country, and their freedom for so many years. Without fascism, without Nazism, without genocide. That is what I feel. Both we and the people of Donbas are freedom-loving nations. Dictatorship, Nazism, and fascism are unacceptable in any form. We know what is happening in the world right now, how people—or perhaps not even people, I do not know what to call them—wish to rewrite history. We will not let them do this. And Donbas is with us.
Our country is so strong—we get in everyone's way, we are much stronger, we are superior. We are the best, and this bothers the entire world, but they will just have to put up with it.
Celebrities on Dolina's stance
Larisa Dolina is that very Odesa girl, Larisa Kudelman, who grew up in Odesa, sang in Odesa restaurants, who absorbed this unique Odesa air... What is she doing there? What is she doing standing beside Putin? Doesn't her conscience bother her when Russia shells peaceful Ukrainian cities, when it kills children, kills civilians, when it launches terror attacks against our infrastructure? Doesn't her heart skip a beat when missiles and bombs rain down on her native Odesa? No? They live completely undisturbed. These people are animals.
An exceptionally vile spectacle. But! Dolina's singing mummy doesn't utter this patriotic gibberish out of her own free will. Today, 5–6 sentences of delusions about «greatness» and «the war» are a mandatory prerequisite imposed on all pop performers who wish to keep their «concert activities.» Dolina's mummy knows that if she doesn't recite them, they will confiscate her sarcophagus and throw her out of the pyramid for good. That's why she holds forth like all those Shamans, Lepses, and Gazmanovs. A little time will pass, and we will witness whimpers of repentance and hear performers lamenting about the «evil Chekists» who supposedly forced them to spew nonsense publicly from stages and television screens.
Most important of all: Larisa is in a coma.
When you talk about dictatorship and fascism in another country, but remain completely oblivious to your own bipolar disorder.
The program series #Ivometed. Guest: Dolina, wondrous Dolina.
