Support for the occupation of Crimea and Donbas militants
Back in 2014, Yulia Chicherina fully supported pro-Russian militants in eastern Ukraine. She regularly performed concerts in annexed Crimea and was among the first Russian performers to visit occupied areas of Donbas. In 2015, she was awarded an order "For Merit" by the leader of the self-proclaimed "LPR", Igor Plotnitsky — citing "her active civic stance and empathy with the fate of the LPR."

She openly supports the Putin regime and Russia's war against Ukraine.
In one of her video addresses to Ukrainian military personnel, Chicherina called on them to surrender and heavily utilized imperialist "Russian World" rhetoric.

I receive an immense number of comments asking to re-record the song «Moy Rock-n-Roll» to remove Chicherina from it. ...As a co-author of that very song, at a certain point — this was already after 2014 — I started seeing on YouTube that she was performing at questionable gatherings of various thugs.
