Ivan Zolo's Position on the War in Ukraine
First Statements Following the Outbreak of the Invasion
Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Ivan Zolo asked his followers not to write about politics and threatened them with bans. Ivan took a neutral stance "for world peace" and pointed out that discussing politics changes nothing:

After drawing the ire of Safe Internet League head Ekaterina Mizulina over advertising casinos and shops selling prohibited substances, Ivan Zolo began embracing conservative Russian state "traditional values." In January 2023, he appealed to Putin and Mizulina requesting that Twitch be blocked, and also called for the eradication of transgender individuals.
Promoting Pro-War "Z-Channels"
In August 2023, the blogger promoted a pro-war Z-Telegram channel raising money for the Russian army with the slogan "I hear the call — destroy Azov."

Concerts in Occupied Territories of Ukraine
In January 2025, Ivan Zolochevsky performed a concert in Russian-occupied Simferopol, which constitutes a violation of international law and Ukrainian legislation, and is viewed as an attempt to legitimize Russia's occupation of Crimea.
In April 2025, he was entered into the Myrotvorets database for deliberately violating Ukraine's state border in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and spreading Russian propaganda.
In September 2026, he published a poster for a concert tour, which included occupied Donetsk and Mariupol among the announced tour destinations.

In response to a subscriber's criticism regarding traveling to Mariupol, Zolo replied: "Why? It's a beautiful Russian city, what don't you like about it?"

Following this, Zolo insulted the subscriber, using ethnic slurs against Ukrainians.
Zolochevsky's Father's Position on the War in Ukraine
The artist's father, Sergey Zolochevsky (who exercises significant influence over his son), is an anti-Ukrainian radical who spreads disinformation regarding the shelling of Donbas in 2014 and Ukrainian prisoners of war.
"Почему? Красивый русский город, чем тебе не нравится?"
