Max Korzh (Maksim Korzh) is a Belarusian singer and songwriter. He was born on November 23, 1988, in Luninets, Belarus.

Listening to the old tracks of this artist on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services may indirectly contribute to financing the war — through royalties paid to Russian labels and distributors, which pay taxes to the budget of the Russian Federation.
Entry ban to Ukraine
In 2016, he was banned from entering Ukraine for a period of five years for performing concerts in Russian-occupied Crimea. Following a direct appeal, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) lifted the entry ban in October 2017 after finding no threat to national security in Korzh's actions.
In June 2017, he was entered into the database of the "Myrotvorets" website for illegal concert activity on the territory of Russian-occupied Crimea.
Stance during the protests in Belarus
In 2020, he did not support protesters against the rigged presidential elections in Belarus, publicly urging people not to take to the streets for protest rallies.
Max Korzh's stance on the war in Ukraine
Condemnation of the invasion
On February 24, 2022, following the outbreak of the Russian invasion, he posted a statement on Instagram in which he condemned the aggression against Ukraine:
Millions of people who grew up in the exact same courtyards, on the exact same values, who understand each other and are 100% ready to live peacefully as neighbors, are once again torn apart by war. I condemn the invasion and bombardment of a sovereign state. This is a war that will alter everyone's life forever, no matter where you live. Everything familiar that we took for granted will become merely a memory. Therefore, it is never too late if millions do not want war. Peace to Ukraine.

The song "Svoy Dom" ("One's Own Home")
On June 4, 2022, he released the song "Svoy Dom", an emotional anti-war track written against the backdrop of the first 100 days of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine. Through the track, Korzh reflects on how the war shattered the lives of millions, demolished former illusions of "brotherly nations," and divided an entire generation. The central theme of the song is captured in its refrain: "Right is he who defends his own home." In the song's context, this affirms that whoever defends their homeland and family against an aggressor possesses full moral justification for armed resistance.
Cancellation of concerts in Russia
On June 6, 2022, he canceled all scheduled concerts across Russia:
Guys, as you've already guessed, there will be no concerts in our countries this year. I cannot sing about 'living for kicks' when lives are being extinguished every single day. Take care of yourselves. Everything will be alright!
Commentary regarding a potential Belarusian offensive against Ukraine
In October 2022, amid widespread rumors of Belarusian troops joining the invasion of Ukraine, Korzh wrote on Instagram:
Belarusians will not march into foreign soil. That has always been the case, and over these 7 months nothing has changed. Believe in the best.
Ties to the Russian Federation
- Merchandise sales through Russian intermediaries: Max Korzh's official online store operates through a Russian commercial agent (Individual Entrepreneur Osokin A.V.). All ruble transactions from the sale of branded apparel are processed within the Russian banking system, meaning the intermediary legally remits taxes on every garment sold to the Federal Tax Service (FNS) of the Russian Federation. This information was previously displayed on the artist's official website (https://maxkorzh.live/kontaktyi/), but has since been hidden and remains visible only in page source code.
- Active Russian legal entity: Max Korzh remains the 100% owner of Moscow-registered LLC "LUNINETS", established for e-commerce. The company has not been liquidated, files regular corporate tax returns, and conducts mandatory statutory payments to maintain active status.
Return to touring and new statements
Concerts in Riga 2023
In 2023, Max resumed live concert performances. Explaining this decision from the stage in Riga, he stated:
We didn't want to hold concerts until the war was over. But escalation is mounting and nobody knows whether we will ever have the opportunity to meet again in the future.
At the Riga show, the 35,000-strong arena chanted the slogan "No to war!", prompted by the artist himself. At a concert in Tallinn, Max addressed the crowd:
You can live for kicks, but until we stop the war, we won't be able to truly live life to the fullest. Stop the war. Nobody except us will stop it.
In 2024, Max Korzh launched a massive stadium tour across European cities.
Concert in Warsaw 2025
In August 2025, the artist performed in Warsaw, delivering a speech from the stage:
Belarusians and Poles are no different from each other, just like other nations. The only difference is language. I know times right now are tough, but you must remember: politics is politics, and ordinary people are ordinary people. God forbid anyone tells you 'this one is the enemy' or 'that one is the enemy'—remember that every nation's greatest enemy is simple manipulation. I wish you only peace. I see you live decently—keep it up.
No father raises his son simply to have him torn to pieces... This must be stopped, friends! Stop the war!
Concert in Bucharest 2026
During the Bucharest concert, when the crowd began chanting the well-known Ukrainian anti-Putin slogan "Putin khuylo!", Max Korzh intervened:
Alright friends, at this concert and at the next concert... no name other than my own may be shouted. Neither in a good context nor in a bad context—there is no need to give anyone publicity.
Celebrities on Korzh's stance
In reality, my country invaded a neighboring country that I also fell deeply in love with when I performed concerts there. I wish artists like Max Korzh would speak frankly when 70,000 people—Russians, Ukrainians, and Belarusians—come to their shows. You are someone who could unite these people: they stand together at your concerts despite the war, despite all the f***ery. Therefore, Max, brother to brother, speak the truth as it is, stop wagging your f***ing tail, seriously. And I advise everyone not to sit on two chairs and just speak the truth, because we need that for our own souls. Otherwise, all those wretched people will devour us alive on this planet. Therefore: Glory to Ukraine.
