Natalya Podolskaya's stance on the war in Ukraine

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.

In August 2017, she was added to the database of the Myrotvorets website for illegal concert activities in Russian-occupied Crimea.

Natalya Podolskaya's stance on the war in Ukraine

Following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Natalya Podolskaya published an emotional post on social networks calling for peace:

I wish everything could be like before! When in 2005 Eurovision was in Kyiv and the chestnuts were in bloom... Fear and pain. Please, let it all end.

However, in March 2022, the singer's position shifted and she decided to support the so-called SMO by taking part in the rally concert «Za peace without Nazism! Za Russia! Za the President!» at Luzhniki Stadium.

Sanctions and restrictions

By order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 22, 2022 No. 215-r, she was included in the sanctions list of Ukraine due to her support for Russian aggression. The sanctions include freezing of assets, deprivation of Ukrainian state awards, and a 10-year ban on entering the country.

In March 2022, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia banned the singer from entering the country indefinitely for supporting the war in Ukraine.
