Silent Planet is an American metalcore band from Azusa, California, formed in 2009. The group gained recognition in heavy music through deep conceptual albums and complex lyrics by frontman Garrett Russell addressing mental health, history, religion, and social issues.

Silent Planet's stance on the war in Ukraine
Following February 24, 2022, members of Silent Planet openly supported Ukraine and condemned the Russian invasion.
Support for Ukraine, charity
On March 1, 2022, the band announced the release of merchandise featuring Ukrainian symbols, with proceeds from sales directed toward helping Ukrainian refugees:
Like most of the world, we have watched as the madness of war fell upon our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. In the midst of this chaos, millions of people were forced to do the unthinkable: leave their homes, communities, and normal lives. People who just recently had a home suddenly became refugees. What is happening is a human rights crisis, and we wanted to do whatever we could to make a small contribution.

In the summer of 2025, the band released the track "Wick", inspired by the history of Ukraine, including the Holodomor, as well as the resilience of the Ukrainian people in the face of war. Along with the release, Silent Planet launched a charity fundraiser for the Ukrainian foundation "Return of Childhood".
Concerts in Ukraine in 2026
In December 2025, the band's frontman Garrett Russell posted on his X account that the band wants to play "Wick" in Ukraine, adding "Fuck Putin".

In June 2026, Silent Planet performed in Ukraine for the first time, giving two concerts — in Lviv and Kyiv. In the announcement under the poster, the musicians wrote: «Slava Ukraini! Heroyam Slava!».

After the Kyiv show, the musicians shared that they met with Ukrainians who lost homes, families, and limbs due to the war. Despite this, the band highlighted the resilience of Ukrainians and stated that this experience "forever changed our lives":
...During the show, we held a moment of silence for those who have died in this war… and even just remembering that moment gives me chills. The unity we experienced here is unlike anything we have seen across our band's entire existence. The fight for Ukraine's freedom is a fight for human freedom. And we will certainly return to this place that changed us forever...

In an interview, the frontman reflected on performing in Ukraine, adding:
…I feel bad that Ukrainians aren't getting shows because of the war — while Russian promoters pay big money, and certain bands travel to Moscow, to Russia, which attacked Ukraine. It's a shitty situation.
Conclusion
Silent Planet took a clear pro-Ukrainian stance: they supported Ukrainians through charitable initiatives, condemned the Russian invasion, and came to Ukraine to perform concerts during the war.
