Zxcursed's Stance on the War in Ukraine

At the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Zxcursed did not make open political statements.

In one of his videos, filmed together with streamer Akuma, the bloggers documented leaving Kyiv at the beginning of the full-scale war. In this vlog, the creators humorously joked about the difficulties of evacuation while saying not a single word about who started the conflict, who the aggressor was, or who the victim was. It created the impression that for them it was more of an "adventure" rather than a tragedy.

Later, after relocating to Poland, Zxcursed answered a question during one of his streams regarding where he would like to live:

Obviously, in Ukraine. In Ukraine without war. Earlier, I didn't appreciate life in Ukraine without war at all. I thought I needed to move to Europe; well, here I am in Europe, and what the f*** am I supposed to do here. Whereas in Ukraine, it was super f***ing awesome, it was developing so amazingly. I love Ukraine very much.... Well, I've gotten used to Poland too, but somehow I don't feel any joy in life. Take just the language barrier alone. Obviously, as a resident of Ukraine, I love Ukraine. Just look at the Diia app — you can show your documents anywhere in the country without carrying physical copies.

In April 2025, an emotional video surfaced in which Cursed spoke out about the loss of his customary life, the shattering of dreams and way of living caused by the war, Russia's treacherous attack, and Z-patriots:

In reality, all of this is sad. This whole f***ing war. It's a nightmare. Well, let's not dwell on it endlessly. I just decided to throw it out there that... It is deeply heartbreaking that everything turned out this way. And that distance now separates me from my loved one, with whom I spent so much time together. You understand. We cannot unite as one. All of this is deeply sad in reality. Genuinely, like, this is devastating. So that's how things are, guys. But what can you do. That's life. Who could have known that sneakily, right when nobody expected it, just out of nowhere, right in the back, as they say, came a real blade, sharp and extremely dangerous. Well, that's how we live.

And some people find this funny, some are cracking jokes. Some people live in Russia, slapping on Z-symbols — for them it's 'fun,' while people are dying! Real human beings. A person is living their life and dies simply at the whim of some other individual. This is sad, this is truly tragic. Well, that's life, can you imagine? And those guys are cracking jokes... f***ing b***hes... Life existed before, look at 2021. There was life. Now, this isn't living. It's survival. Yes, maybe for me it's not strictly survival because I have a $10,000 deposit, but all of this, you know, is temporary. And what comes next? Nobody knows. Before, you could somehow plan your life, but now that's impossible. Meaning you can't even think about what will happen six months from now. Before, you could do that.

He produces a personal clothing brand, thousand cursed enemies, which is sold worldwide, except in the Russian Federation "for obvious reasons."

Ties to the Russian Music Market

Users on the Genius website noticed that Russian beatmakers FONFORINO and greyrock worked on tracks from the album «The World Owes Me» (released on June 6, 2025), including the song «bladyjerk».

FONFORINO regularly posts photos on his social media against the backdrop of "Z V O" symbols and makes no secret of his pro-Kremlin views. On the Genius website, he also added a note to the Zxcursed track: «All proceeds from the sale of this beat went toward supporting the special military operation!». The note was later deleted, but it remains visible in the site's revision history. His co-author greyrock also continues to work in the Russian Federation and collaborate with Z-artists.

The album «The World Owes Me» was in production for several years and was originally scheduled for release back in 2022. The release was postponed following the outbreak of the full-scale war. Therefore, it is likely that rights to the beats were acquired long before the producers' political stances became known. Nevertheless, the question remains open: are these Z-beatmakers currently collecting royalties from streams of the album today?

In 2026, the EP "The World at My Feet" remains available on Russian platforms (banned in Ukraine): "Yandex Music" and "VK Music". When tracks are streamed on these platforms, artists receive royalties in rubles and consequently pay taxes to the aggressor state.
