Endorsement of the Annexation of Crimea
In May 2017, Aleksandr Pushnoy was entered into the database of the «Myrotvorets» center for publicly supporting the annexation of Crimea and justifying Russian aggression.

In an interview, Pushnoy referred to the annexation of Crimea as "Putin's victory" and "historical justice":
Putin conducted a brilliant operation in the sense that today, when all of this is being discussed, the period is placed after Crimea.... well, a semicolon.... Everything happened solely because it occurred completely without a single shot fired, without bloodshed... Putin, for all his shortcomings (people criticize him for all kinds of ambitions, invent narratives about how he treats the domestic opposition), is a responsible man. If he undertook and launched this operation, he bears the burden of responsibility for what is occurring. In this case, I consider that historically perhaps a trajectory in that direction was set when Crimea went to Ukraine. But the fact that this was executed so decisively and nonetheless relatively bloodlessly is specifically Putin's victory. In this direction, it is the restoration of historical justice in his model. I am among those people who believe that this integration benefits people.
Reaction to the Full-Scale War
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Aleksandr Pushnoy posted a generic "No to war" Instagram story. However, Pushnoy did not clarify whether his stance toward the annexation of Crimea and his prior remarks backing Putin's actions had changed.
Following this, Aleksandr Pushnoy made no further public statements regarding the war and continued his entertainment career in Russia.
Work on «Solovyov Live»
Since July 2024, Aleksandr Pushnoy has been releasing his science project "Sozdateli" (Creators) on the state propaganda television channel «Solovyov Live». The "Sozdateli" project is sponsored by the Kremlin's Institute for Internet Development. The videos feature no explicit tie to politics or the war, yet beneath every episode there is a link directing viewers to Vladimir Solovyov's Telegram channel.
