DJ Smash (Andrey Shirman) is a Russian DJ, composer, and music producer. Recipient of "MTV Russia Music Awards", "Golden Gramophone", and "Muz-TV" awards. Born on May 23, 1982, in Perm, RSFSR.

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
In May 2017, he was listed in the database of the Mirotvorets website for unlawful concert performances in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Subsequently, Andrey Shirman commented on his entry ban to Ukraine in an interview with "Komsomolskaya Pravda":
Of course, I would love to be a very close friend of Vladimir Putin. But unfortunately, I remain merely his admirer and fan. What is happening—this whole story of visiting Crimea and being barred from entering Ukraine—is the absolute height of absurdity. Because for me, someone born, raised, and educated in the USSR, where Ukraine, Russia, and all Soviet republics were one country, someone who memorized all through childhood about «15 republics—15 sisters»—this is like some kind of cosmic cataclysm. Banning entry is wrong. The political games and intrigues of other people who were also born and raised in this same country mean very little to me. But I feel sorry, because I have many friends in Ukraine, and they are all very good people. Now I'll be inviting them to visit me in Moscow.
During the 2018 Russian presidential election, he joined the Putin Team movement supporting Vladimir Putin and composed its anthem, "Guiding Star."
DJ Smash's stance on the war in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, DJ Smash made no direct public statements condemning or discussing the war.
In April 2024, he released a music video for his song, in which the storyline depicts a participant of the so-called "special military operation" (SVO) returning home to Perm, welcomed by his family. In the final scene at the SVO-themed exhibition "We Protect Our Homeland" at the Shpagin Plant, the soldier is personally greeted with a handshake by the Governor of Perm Krai, Dmitry Makhonin.
Andrey Shirman is registered on Roskomnadzor's Gosuslugi portal. This signifies that his media activities are officially monitored and regulated by the Russian state.
