Stance on the war in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Platina reposted an anti-war appeal by rapper Og Buda, accompanying it with the caption: "I am from Latvia myself, but this is painful to watch. Peace!".

After 2022, the artist continued performing on the Russian stage and collaborating with local musicians.
Detention in Russia (2024)
On April 19, 2024, during a concert in Tomsk, Platina was detained on stage by Russian police. According to law enforcement, he violated entry regulations, worked without a work permit, and refused to undergo medical examination. The court imposed a fine of 4,000 rubles and ordered the artist's deportation from Russia.
Tomsk was only the fifth stop in a planned 32-city Russian tour. Following his arrest, all concerts across Russia were indefinitely postponed, and fans were offered ticket refunds. According to unofficial reports, recent critical remarks by Platina concerning the VK platform may have triggered the crackdown.
Following the incident, the artist focused on touring across Europe.
In 2025, during a concert in Kraków, he addressed the crowd: "Make some noise for my boys from Ukraine!".
