PLM (formerly "Polmateri") is a Russian musical group from Yekaterinburg, founded by Ivan Margoldin (real name Ivan Bastrikov) in 2019.
Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
PLM's stance on the war in Ukraine
Initial anti-war statements
Following the launch of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the band initially spoke out against the war. On February 28, 2022, Ivan Margoldin wrote on the group's Telegram channel: "Putin, withdraw the troops, I'm not kidding." In August 2022, he also congratulated Ukraine on its Independence Day.
These posts were later deleted.
From bans to the Russian national anthem
The musicians continued to write songs and tour Russian cities, but in 2022 POLMATERI's creative work faced criticism from parental organizations demanding the cancellation of the band's concerts over "profanity in song lyrics and calls for immoral behavior." Ekaterina Mizulina, head of the Russian "Safe Internet League," also succeeded in getting the band's debut album "Krutye pranki" (Cool Pranks) removed from streaming platforms.
Following issues with concert cancellations and accusations of "inciting abortions and suicides," the musicians of Polmateri apparently decided to "redeem themselves," as Mizulina wrote on her Telegram channel:

Album takedowns and concert restrictions
In October 2025, a message appeared on the band's Telegram channel stating that "the album 'Songs for Virgins, Pt. 1' was completely removed from all Russian streaming services based on a decision by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs."
The band continues to live and work in Russia. Concerts by the band within Russia were banned for a certain period. In September 2026, PLM resumed performing live in Russia.
