First Statements After the Start of the Full-Scale Invasion
On May 7, 2022, band leader Konstantin Kulyasov published an exchange with a Ukrainian acquaintance on his VKontakte page. The long read written by Kulyasov was completely steeped in Kremlin propaganda narratives, accusing Ukraine and Western countries of inciting World War III:
...This is my country and my home, I will be here and I will defend it. [...] This is the tragedy of two peoples who were pitted against each other by those who now sit across the ocean. [...] The Maidan led the country to disaster. [...] Ukraine has ignited World War Three!..
Endorsement of Strikes on Ukraine's Civilian Infrastructure
On Telegram, Kulyasov also commented on the destruction of Ukraine's energy power grid:
...Russia has begun to hit back. I don't understand why the destruction of energy infrastructure was not given attention right at the very beginning of the operation...
Kremlin Historical Revisionism Narratives
He also extensively shared his views on the alleged rewriting of history and Ukrainian propaganda:
...Russians were blamed for the Holodomor, conveniently forgetting that famine also hit the Volga region and Kazakhstan. [...] Rusnya, damned moskali — this poison was not only poured into every schoolbook, but was also absorbed with breast milk. Russians are blamed for all their misfortunes! [...] For the fascists, biological trash meant Jews and Gypsies, while for these people — it's Russians.
Direct Support for Russian Soldiers
In August 2023, during an appearance on the program "Sol" on REN-TV, Kulyasov admitted that he had personally traveled to the Donbas:
..when this whole story began on February 24, I'm not one of those artists who travels around with a phone recording 'I'm here,' I made arrangements with the lads from a military-construction enterprise, they gave me a ride, and I zipped over near Svatove, near Volnovakha. And I spoke with the guys. The 55th Brigade of Far Eastern Marines, they asked me to sing
