Baza Music (key members: Navernoye Poet, Yakor, Even Cute) is a Russian record label and creative musical collective. They gained notoriety across the post-Soviet media space by promoting so-called «patriotic phonk» and Z-rap. The Baza Music label was founded in September 2023 in Moscow by artist Navernoye Poet.

Baza Music's position on the war in Ukraine

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.

Baza Music's Stance on the War in Ukraine

The musical collective Baza Music and its leading artists (Navernoye Poet, Yakor, Even Cute) have taken an explicitly pro-war and pro-Kremlin stance.

The artists brand themselves as a «youth alternative» to SHAMAN for teenage audiences. They produce Z-content, disseminate pro-Russian ideology, and perform in occupied territories of Ukraine.

Popularization of «Patriotic Phonk»

The primary rationale for creating viral tracks such as «Yes, I'm Russian» («Да я русский») and «Living in Russia is Fucking Awesome» («В России жить п*здато»), according to the artists themselves, is the desire to occupy the niche of «patriotic music for teenagers.» According to the label's members, SHAMAN's music caters primarily to older generations, while youth crave a modern phonk beat.

On July 12, 2024, Baza Music artists released the album «Russian Funk». Pro-regime propaganda, jingoism, and imperial rhetoric were packaged in danceable phonk tracks tailored for TikTok and other social media platforms.

Concerts in Occupied Territories

In April 2025, musicians from the Baza Music collective traveled to Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories. Specifically, Navernoye Poet, Yakor, and Even Cute staged a concert in occupied Luhansk, performing before a local audience and legitimizing the Russian military occupation.

Throughout the concert, pro-Russian slogans and chants were repeatedly shouted from the stage.

Assistance to the Russian Army

In 2025, the musicians visited occupied Donetsk, where they met with participants of the so-called «SVO» and delivered military assistance to Russian soldiers in the form of communications equipment:

We brought military aid to Donetsk, radio transmitters for communications and so on, so that it's much easier for the servicemen to keep in contact with each other.

During their trip, Baza Music members also purchased souvenirs bearing the image of Alexander Zakharchenko, the slain former leader of the so-called «DPR»:

This is the first head of the Donetsk People's Republic... He is a deeply iconic figure; back home everyone respects and loves him very much.

Baza Music utilizes music as an instrument to popularize pro-Russian ideology among young people, endorses the occupation of Ukrainian lands, and actively aids the Russian military.
