Garik Sukachyov is a Soviet and Russian rock musician, poet, composer, film and voice actor, theater and film director, screenwriter, and television presenter. Frontman of the bands «Brigada S» and «Neprikasaemye». Born on December 1, 1959 in the village of Myakinino, Moscow Oblast, USSR.

Support for Separatists and Stance on Donbas
Since 2014, the singer has openly supported Russian separatists in the war in eastern Ukraine. In January 2015, a video circulated online featuring the recording of a song in support of separatists, in which, in addition to Sukachyov, Ivan Okhlobystin and Aleksandr Sklyar also took part.
In August 2017, Sukachyov was entered into the database of the «Myrotvorets» website for war propaganda, public endorsement of Russian aggression, and encroachment on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
In 2018, in an interview with TV Rain, Garik stated regarding the war in Donbas:
Is Russia, an immense country, responsible for this? I believe the government is not responsible. Because the revolution originated in Ukraine and went on for quite some time. And this is not the first revolution. I attended the Orange Revolution too, witnessed those banners, etc. Nothing is unambiguous... Of course, Russia has a relationship to this conflict. Just like any country that is duty-bound to defend its own people and its geopolitical interests. I do not think that Russia in this respect differs from any other powerful state.
Sukachyov also asserted that nothing favorable awaits Ukraine in the future, claiming that for its populace the heroes are Stepan Bandera and representatives of the «SS».
Position Following the Outbreak of the Full-Scale War
On June 4, 2022, Sukachyov shared a photograph of himself on Telegram exhibiting a tattoo reading «Motherland or Death», accompanied by an excerpt from Andrey Makarevich and captioned "I hope with this photo I have addressed all questions":

Assistance to the Russian Military
In October 2022, state propagandist Zakhar Prilepin shared on Telegram details regarding Garik Sukachyov's material military aid to the Russian army stretching back to 2014:
Garik Sukachyov yesterday purchased 20 powerful radio stations for the boys of the Somali assault battalion, commanded by their spirited commander with the callsign Boykot. As the saying goes: from Moscow rock to Donetsk rock. Garik Sukachyov was among the few who aided the frontline back then, in 2014–2021.
However, he asked not to speak of it. He provided help, and remarkably generously, on multiple occasions.
In a 2024 interview with "Komsomolskaya Pravda", the musician confessed that he aids Russian soldiers, while noting that it is improper to flaunt it publicly:
I provide help, but it is improper to speak of it. The guys will tell it themselves at some point without me. Or perhaps they won't tell. If they don't tell, I will only be glad. It's improper, that is all... With tremendous hope, I wish that next year there will be a peaceful sky over all of us, that everyone returns home alive and healthy.
Performance Before "SMO" Combatants
In April 2024, Garik Sukachyov performed before combatants of the Russian army undergoing treatment at the Amvrosiivka Rehabilitation Center located in the occupied Donetsk region.
Participation in Patriotic Events
In the summer of 2022, he assembled two dozen musicians, most of whom openly endorse the war, to record the track and music video «Ya ostayus» («I'm Staying») as a rebuke to musicians who abandoned Russia.
On August 22, 2023, Sukachyov participated in the patriotic stadium concert dedicated to the Day of the Russian National Flag at Luzhniki in Moscow.
Ukrainian Sanctions
In April 2025, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted an NSDC resolution imposing personal sanctions on Garik Sukachyov. The sanctions encompass asset freezes, forfeiture of state decorations, prohibition of media broadcasting on the territory of Ukraine, and related restrictions.
