Irina Dubtsova on the war

Irina Dubtsova is a Russian singer, poetess, and songwriter, graduate and winner of «Star Factory 4», and finalist of «Star Factory. Return». Former jury member of the Ukrainian television talent show The X Factor. Winner of the transformation project «Toch-v-Toch». Born on February 14, 1982 in Volgograd.

In September 2017, she was entered into the database of the «Myrotvorets» website for unauthorized visits to Russian-occupied Crimea, war propaganda, and support for Russian fascism and Nazism.

Since January 7, 2023, she has been under NSDC sanctions for anti-Ukrainian activities.

Irina Dubtsova’s Position on the War in Ukraine

Irina Dubtsova actively endorses the Putin regime and Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

On March 1, 2022, she participated in a concert in support of the so-called "liberators" of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. Other pro-Kremlin artists taking part included Dmitry Koldun, YurKiss, VladiMir, Masha Weber, the band «Zemlyane», Denis Maydanov, and others.

In June 2023, in an interview with "Vechernyaya Moskva", Dubtsova spoke about supporting Russian combatants and their families:

...We support the fighters. They are currently defending our rights and borders, protecting children, women, honor, dignity, and the greatness of the country. And I have performed, perform, and will continue to perform extensively for the families of SMO participants, for families that arrived from the new territories. Everything will be fine, Russia is a great country, truth is always on our side, God is always with us. By the way, I wrote the song «Za nas» («For Us») about this.

In November 2023, she co-hosted the Golden Gramophone Awards ceremony alongside Vladimir Kiselev and presented monetary bounties to Russian combatants.

In February 2024, in an interview on the YouTube channel FAMETIME TV, Dubtsova explained that she backed the special military operation from the very first day, because she had visited Donbas back in 2019 and witnessed firsthand how people lived in Donetsk and Luhansk:

First of all, I have always been a patriot. It is genetically embedded within me, since I was born and raised in Volgograd. That is [former] Stalingrad. <...> I was in Donetsk and Luhansk in 2019, prior to the SMO. Before those territories joined us and were integrated into the Russian Federation. And there I am singing, everything is fine, people are listening, a massive crowd filling the square, and then the song finishes, and I hear automatic gunfire or explosions echoing in the distance. I saw how people lived, spoke with local residents, and I know who was killing whom there when it was still the territory of Ukraine. <...> Naturally, from the very first day of the start of the SMO, I supported our country, supported the president's decision, supported Donbas, supported their decision to enter the RF, and I support it wholeheartedly to this day.
