Jane Air is a Russian alternative rock band founded in 2002 in Saint Petersburg. The band's frontman and lead vocalist is Anton Lissov (former backing vocalist and guitarist of Little Big).
Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
In 2022, the core members of Little Big (Ilya Prusikin, Sonya Tayurskaya, director Alina Pasok) relocated to Los Angeles and spoke out against Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Lissov decided to stay in Russia and returned to his original musical project, Jane Air.
In March 2019, Anton Lissov was listed in the Myrotvorets database for illegal concert touring activities in occupied Crimea.
Jane Air's Stance on the War in Ukraine
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the band Jane Air has not published any official statements about the war, and the members of the group have refrained from commenting on the military aggression.
The band has actively continued concerts and releases in Russia: in 2022, they released the album "Mielofon" and went on tour, and in March 2024, they presented a live video as part of the "Elektrichestvo" project.
In 2024, Anton Lissov became a co-host of the propaganda YouTube channel "Kiberetika" ("Cyberethics"). Among the show's guests are odious mouthpieces of the "Russian world": Stas Ay Kak Prosto, Vovan and Lexus, Ekaterina Mizulina, State Duma deputy Alexander Gorelkin, and others.
In September 2024, Jane Air performed at the festival Kinchev Fest, which has long been associated with a pro-Kremlin stance. The majority of its participants, including organizer Konstantin Kinchev, openly support Russia's invasion of Ukraine, promoting pro-Russian and nationalist views.
Despite the lack of direct public statements, the actions of the band and its frontman unequivocally signal support for the current regime and, accordingly, aggression against Ukraine.
