«Komnata Kultury» is a Russian pop-rock and indie band from Barnaul, founded in March 2022. The lead vocalist, frontman, and primary songwriter is Evgeny Trofimov (born April 7, 1995), a finalist on the reality competition show The New Star Factory.

Komnata Kultury's position on the war in Ukraine

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.

Komnata Kultury's Stance on the War in Ukraine

Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, members of «Komnata Kultury» have not publicly condemned Russian aggression or the actions of the Russian armed forces.

Patriotic Stance

On June 12, 2022, the band participated in a concert celebrating Russia Day.

In 2025, «Komnata Kultury» performed on the television music show Kvartirnik u Margulisa, which has repeatedly featured artists who publicly endorsed the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

In 2026, Zhenya Trofimov congratulated subscribers of his Telegram channel on Russia Day, publishing a celebratory greeting against the background of the Russian state flag:

Band members are frequently seen in the company of pro-war Z-artists such as Sergey Bobunets and Vladimir Kristovsky.

Against the backdrop of the continuing war, all of these actions directly align the musicians with the Russian state and patriotic agenda.

Music for a TV Series About the «SVO»

Between 2024 and 2026, Zhenya Trofimov and «Komnata Kultury» composed several songs for the first and second seasons of the television series Landyshi («Lilies of the Valley»), which incorporates themes surrounding the so-called «SVO» and Russian soldiers.

By composing music for this project, the band contributed to content that projects a romanticized and glorified image of Russian military personnel.

Concerts in Occupied Crimea

In August 2025, the band performed in Russian-occupied Crimea, specifically at the «Tavrida.ART» festival in Sudak. The group also played a concert in Simferopol. These performances represent a violation of international law and Ukrainian legislation, effectively serving to legitimize the Russian occupation of Crimea.

In February 2026, due to illegal commercial activities in territories of Ukraine occupied by Russian forces, Evgeny Trofimov was added to the database of the Myrotvorets center.
