Lizer on the war in Ukraine

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.

Lizer's stance on the war in Ukraine

Reaction to the full-scale invasion

Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Arsen Magomadov posted a statement on Instagram (which was subsequently deleted), expressing condolences to all those killed in the course of the war and complaining about "Russophobia" in the world (the rapper chose not to clarify the actual cause of this international reaction):

My silence is not fear. It is bewilderment. I offer my condolences to all those who have died in the hostilities on both sides. I have many acquaintances in Ukraine, many listeners. At concerts, I was always met warmly and friendly. I want the war to end as quickly as possible. I am sorry that in the 21st century disputes have to be settled in this way. The world's reaction toward the peoples of my country—is pure swinishness (I am referring specifically to Russophobia). It feels as though all of them just needed an excuse...

The rapper added that he had nothing to apologize for and had no intention of leaving Russia:

I will not apologize; I have nothing to apologize for. Nor do I intend to deliver loud speeches, since I am not confident that we know all the facts thoroughly. I have no intention of going abroad and writing these speeches from there. I will remain here. Until the very end. In my country, with my people, with all the peoples of this country, which I love under any circumstances....

Concerts in Crimea

On June 27, 2025, Lizer performed in occupied Simferopol, and announced a concert in occupied Sevastopol for December—a direct breach of international law and Ukrainian legislation, regarded as legitimizing the Russian occupation of Crimea.
