Molchat Doma is a Belarusian post-punk, new wave, and synth-pop band from Minsk, formed in 2017. The founders of the band are Egor Shkutko (vocals) and Roman Komogortsev (guitar, synthesizers, drum machine).

In 2020, the musicians openly supported the pro-democracy protesters in Belarus. They also contributed to the charitable compilation album "For Belarus", proceeds from the sale of which were donated to assist injured and detained participants in the peaceful demonstrations.
Position of Molchat Doma on the war in Ukraine
Following Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukrainian territory, the members of Molchat Doma recorded a video appeal firmly condemning the war. The musicians announced that a portion of the proceeds from their upcoming scheduled concerts would be donated to victims of the war:
What is happening right now in Ukraine is a total catastrophe that affects not only Ukrainians, but also millions of people from Russia and Belarus — after all, all of us were dragged into this shame without being asked. The band condemns the military aggression on Ukrainian territory and joins the global anti-war protest. Throughout all these days, we have been thinking about how to help people suffering from the war, and we decided that part of the proceeds from all our concerts scheduled for this spring will be directed toward their support.

The musicians tour extensively across European and American cities, completely boycotting and avoiding the aggressor state of Russia.
