«Mongol Shuudan» is a Soviet and Russian rock band founded in 1989 by Valery Skoroded. The group works in the «anarcho-rock» genre, exploiting the aesthetics of the Makhnovist movement and the Russian Civil War. Skoroded was born on October 22, 1965, in Moscow.

Listening to this artist's tracks on official streaming platforms, social media, and other services indirectly contributes to financing the war — through taxes paid to the budget of the Russian Federation.
Mongol Shuudan's stance on the war in Ukraine
Despite their long-standing image as «anarchists» who theoretically ought to stand outside politics and state borders, following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 the band ultimately adopted a stance loyal to the Kremlin.
In 2024, they played an acoustic concert in the «LPR» for fighters of the «special military operation».
From the very beginning of the special military operation, the musicians have been performing for our fighters and visiting the new territories in order to support the defenders of Russia and ordinary people living under such difficult conditions with their art.
Concerts in Crimea
The band regularly performs concerts in cities across Russian-occupied Crimea, which constitutes a violation of international law and Ukrainian legislation, and is perceived as legitimizing the Russian occupation of the peninsula.
The activities of «Mongol Shuudan» after 2022 demonstrate an abandonment of anarchist ideals in favor of state patronage. Performing before combatants in occupied territories makes the band an active participant in the aggressor's cultural policy.
